I know they're 2 completely different genres but I'm in the mood for scifi and I could watch comedy all day. Outer space sci-fi is my favorite. So, yeah. Suggestions please?

Already seen:
Event Horizon
Moon (I loved this)
2001, 2010
Solaris or Sunshine I get confused between which one I've seen.
a bunch of others

Comedy.... I dont even know what I've seen.

If you liked "Moon" there is a decent (not as good but still great atmosphere) movie called "Cargo" that I saw recently and didn't mind.

Sunshine was awesome and had great visuals too, last 15-20 min kinda fell off though.

Starship Troopers takes the cake on great blockbuster B movies with humor IMO.

Comedy- old movie called Top Secret is Naked Gun type funny.
There is this old show called Mystery Science Theater 3000... its not so much sci fi, but what they do is watch old really bad movies (sci fi, horror usually) and make fun of them.. its more comedy... but many episodes can been seen on youtube or netflix.

The Adventures of Buckaroo Banzai Across the 8th Dimension

imdb

Peter Weller ... Buckaroo Banzai
John Lithgow ... Lord John Whorfin / Dr. Emilio Lizardo
Ellen Barkin ... Penny Priddy
Jeff Goldblum ... New Jersey
Christopher Lloyd ... John Bigboote

Neurosurgeon/Rock Star/Superhero Buckaroo has perfected the oscillation overthruster, which allows him to travel through solid matter by using the eighth dimension. The Red Lectroids from Planet 10 are after this device for their own evil ends, and it's up to Buckaroo and his band and crime-fighting team The Hong Kong Cavaliers to stop them.

Any of the many, many shorts by the Three Stooges. They are very funny.

Peter Seller's movie, The Mouse that Roared. Funny stuff.

Metropolis. The old black and white, silent movie. It's a great sci-fi movie.
