Just wanted to bring this to everyones attention,
this rock appears to be flat and very manufactured looking ,
however NASA has advised that it most likely came from impact
from a meteor.
It's high level of zinc has caused curiosity and have yet to determine its
high zine levels.

the surrounding rock in the pictures also look fabricated.
to me they look like metal blocks which have since been eroded
or undergone some physical chemical change to make them look the
way they do.

What do you think ?

hmm i agree but we do have natural rocks like this on earth
it reminds me of limestone
for the flat surface, that has been created by wind

If that is manufactured, then they have some serious QC issues.

Yeh I can see the resemblance between that rock and limestone , in scotland where I live there are large limestone rocks which are incredibly flat and very smooth from weathering.

One thing I did always find strange about APOD astronomy picture of the day , was this

Bucket Wheel

This bucket wheel excavator shown on APOD . I know you can apparently see them from space, however why bother mentioning it on APOD .
it really doesnt have anything to do with space.!

I always thought that this was someone letting slip about whats on the moon !
