Are you seriously suggesting the market for this app would be people looking for the warm feeling it would give them when they see a famous person is actually Jewish? Maybe I'm being cynical, but to put it bluntly I fear an awful lot more people would be looking to feed their prejudice.

Without a doubt that's what it would be used mostly for, however what it is used for and what it was created for are two different things
. People don't get a warm feeling from reading sex facts (which is an actual app, or maybe they do lol), they use it for entertainment purposes and conversation filler. Of course this is all speculation though.

Perhaps so. But if most people are going to use it to feed their prejudice, surely it can't be classed as entertainment!

It has more potential to be used for racist propaganda than anything else.

Why would any Jewish person be afraid to publicly acknowledge their religious belief?

You all realize the app author was trying to justify his pride in Jewish celebrities, right?

Also, the term "Anti-Semite" is over used. Many (most) people who even use this term are Jewish only in their religion, and the last time I checked you actually had to be from the Middle-East to be considered a Semite.

It's no different than calling me Asian (I'm not) because I practice Buddhism.

Care to argue? Pulling out a misunderstood definition is a misrepresentation of facts. You are not a Jewish (Hebrew) person just because you practice Judaism. Sorry.

Flinging slanderous terms like "Anti-Semite" does not make one a Semite.

Noone said they would. The concern is over why most people would actually buy the app.

Maybe, but I submit he was being naive if he thought it wouldn't be used for nefarious purposes.

The Jewish religion is strongly identified with the Jewish ethnic heritage, in a similar way to how the Muslim religion is strongly identified with Arab ethnic heritage.

Man, you are going out of your way to create a straw man argument. Did you get out of bed the wrong side?

If you say so.

That's quite different from holding a database of Jewish people, is it not? Downloading this app may sound innocuous, but can you imagine the controversy were a 'CD database of Jewish celebrities' to go on sale in the shops? There's really no difference.

You've probably seen this video before, but I'll post it as a reply so others can see. It reinforces your point about the antisemitism card they always play.

Israel is a different issue. Not all Jewish people are Zionists, and some do not support Israeli government policies. The issue here is an app that could be used to promote anti-semitism, which is racism, pure and simple.

We have "SOS Rasisme" here in Norway too. The group is like the EDL, but on the other side of the spectrum. Well, actually they're worse then the EDL, at least they are here in Norway. They're embezzlers and criminals under the guise of being "anti-racists". So this doesn't surprise me at all.

What I find most interesting, is that France has no freedom, and these intolerant so-called "antiracism" thugs, have so much influence. It's a sad country, fully controlled.

I think the OP is reading too much into this. The app inventor was Jewish, and was doing this out of pride for his own race. If someone made an app Italian or not Italian, would it be called racist?

Yes, I know it is about an iPhone app designed to flaunt Jewish domination of the entertainment industry. Maybe the app should be made available so people can learn the absolute truth; Jews DO control the entertainment industry. Maybe then people will realize, "Hey, wait a sec...they can peddle any political agenda and propaganda they desire to steer public perception toward their favor. They have the power to keep us distracted with trivialities, misinformation, disinformation, half-truths, and blatant lies." I'm not saying all Jews have an agenda to mislead, but you can bet the owners of film industry and television networks are Zionists whose loyalty lies with Israel first. Israel to them is not just a state, it is a state of mind. They stick together and promote fellow Jews. Gotta 'keep it in the family'.

Their arrogance will be their downfall. They give themselves away on Wikipedia.

Go ahead people, make a list of your favorite actors, producers, and directors. Now go to Wikipedia and search for their names. Scroll down to where it says "Early Life". Are they Jewish? More often than not, they will be...or had at least one Jewish parent. How anyone could possibly deny Hollywood is Jewish owned and operated, I don't know. It is an absolute, undebatable, un-debunkable, unequivocal fact.

The video I posted is relevant because it deals with antisemitism. I don't know if you've noticed, but whenever some (non-Jewish) celebrity criticizes Israel or says the truth about Jews running Hollywood, they are torn to shreds in the media and are called 'anti-Semitic' or 'racist'. Why? Because Jews do run all of the MSM outlets. This is another give away.

I am well aware that not all Jewish are Zionists, and not all Zionists are Jews. Nevertheless, Jews benefit from Zionism whether they support Israel or not, just as Zionism benefits from using Jews as a race shield. Which brings me to...

JEWS ARE NOT A RACE and we need to stop accepting that. There is no Christian, Buddhist, Hindu, Islamic, or Shinto race, but those who practice and convert to Judaism are a race? HA_HA_HA_HA_HA! This entire notion of 'Jewish ethnicity' is absurd. They cannot have it both ways; religion and race. There is only ONE race and that is the human race. The problem is it is filled with those who imagine themselves favorites of a (non-existent) God. Conversion to Judaism does not change one's ethnicity. Most modern 'Jews' are from Europe and their ancestors never set foot in the Middle East. Btw, 'Semitic' was a language. The Semitic alphabet originated in the Middle East. So, technically antisemitism means 'anti-language'. Kinda silly huh?

Pretty much. Jewish people absolutely hate any kind of negative publicity, particularly when it includes their religion or affiliations.

Look at what pro-Jewish organizations are doing to Mel Gibson? The sad thing is the guy is even bending over backwards to kiss Jewish-rear end, in an effort to appease his Jewish Hollywood overlords.

Mel Gibson to appear as Jewish Hero

Now I'm not so much a conspiracy theorist, for what is already plainly obvious. Jewish people do control much of the financial and entertainment industry. This is public knowledge for all. What I do feel personally is that Jews (are you going to label me a racist for writing "Jews" instead of Jewish? Really?) are involved in shady things pretty much everywhere. From their domination of the Porn Industry, to the selling of weapons and ammo to Palestinians, it just goes on and on with these people.

I'm not racist, nor am I even Caucasian for that matter (no associations with any race-oriented orgs, mind you) but it's clear to see that Jewish people have their fair share of members that are extremely detrimental to any society outside of their own. Look at Sarah Silverman for God's sake. All the woman needs are horns growing out of her head and she would be a perfect depiction of Jewish people as Satanists.

But whatever. The OP is clearly posting here with some kind of lame and obvious agenda. Racism from an iPhone App? Really? First time on the internet buddy? Not sure you've ever surfed the net, but racism is EVERYWHERE.

But hey, let's target a stupid unimportant app that delivers information about Jews that are celebrities. Anyone who could possibly care whether that person is Jewish or not, already knows they are. Trust me.

But I guess that's what the OP is worried about? Perhaps it's becoming a negative stigma to be seen as Jewish again? Why ever would that be? Could it be the total media domination Jews hold? Maybe it's the financial control they wield? Or maybe it's the illegal occupation of Palestine? Or possibly the general degeneration of every single society they implant themselves into?

Why so worried OP? Do Jewish people not like being glared at as they conduct business as usual?

That is a rather odd app. I can maybe understand if it was an app that stated what any given celebrities religion is....But who wants to only know which are Jewish?

That's just kind of weird.

Do I see it as bigoted? No. Just, silly.

Sounds like a storm in a tea cup..
Surely these celebrities have more to be concerned about than the truth..
These celebrities happily give up their freedom for the $millions they receive to do precious little..

Big fricken deal..
