US Jobless claims jump to highest since June

The number of applications for unemployment benefits rose last week to the highest level in nearly two months, government data showed Thursday, providing more evidence of the difficulty jobless Americans face in finding work.

New requests for compensation climbed 11,000 to 428,000 in the week ended Sept. 10, the Labor Department said. Initial claims from two weeks ago were revised up to 417,000 from an original reading of 414,000.

What a super political and economic circus. Manipulation and suppression. We all know real jobless figure is higher than officially reported. Now admitting publicly that jobless rate getting worse.

This is just another lame reason why congress needs to approve Obama's jobs bill. The circus continues..

whats gonna happen
"if" they end the conflicts
and bring home all the soldiers
what they gonna do for work along with everyone
trying to join the work force out of college

I agree, I mean why does the OP think passing the bill Obama has on jobs is really going to help? Einstein said it best: Definition of insanity= doing the same thing over and over again expecting different results.

Time to start WW3. No one will care about the jobs situation if you're fleeing from an area that is in danger of being nuked
