I still suggest Mt. Whitney in California. Highest elevation in the contiguous United States.

Do you really wish to live down in a bunker with the very same people/consciousness of people who have created the downfall in the first place? These toads will save themselves but have zero loyalty to humanity, the ecology or any living entity, including eachother.

If shtf and you were to climb out of the rubble in time, how would you feel slipping over the dead bodies of millions of people, animal, trees, plantlife? Are you really that important to existence as a whole that you have so much to offer it should leave you behind to clean up the mess and create a new beginning?

If you are that superhuman, then what are your Solutions Now? Why wait until everything and everyone good and wholesome about this planet is gone? You will be picking up the pieces as a slave and not as a Master of your future. But then they will need slaves and human drones, fodder.

Denver is the last place I'd want to be.
How come no one ever says to head for the seed vault? If it was that bad and depending on the scenario, of course.

Mt. Whitney SHOULD BE IN THE OCEAN DURING THE SHIFTS

If you drive all the way to the Denver International Airport after the SHTF in hopes of finding some underground bunker, you are going to be sorely disappointed. And then you are going to be dead when the large population of gangbangers, illegal immigrants, drug addicts and shiftless suburbanites turn on you to take whats yours.

There ARE bunkers in the Denver area. But the Airport just doesn't have one. Not one you could survive in, anyway. Unless you like living in an underground tram tunnel.

FEMA has a bunker nearby, but there is no chance you would be able to get in. It's located at:
39°42'43.15"N
105° 7'14.77"W

Cheyenne Mountain is located just a short ways south of there in Colorado Springs, but you aren't getting in there either.

There are 6 Titan Missile silos in the area, just to the south east. They are in rough shape, but those would be your best bet.

There are also 5 Atlas-E Missile silos a ways north of Denver and several more across the border in Wyoming.
