That is an old meteor...it fell a couple years ago.

A huge meteor was reported from Los Angeles to Las Vegas earlier this evening, while another substantial object was taped by a police car camera descening near Edmonton, Alberta. Busy night for meteors.

Yes, I do remember this vid from 2 years or so ago as well. I really wish they wouldn't put the wrong vids with the wrong stories, it hurts the credibility of the current story when things start getting convoluted.

Nope, I think that sight you linked to has it wrong about the one over Canada because I remember that story from 2008/2009 (?) where a police car camera caught great footage of the massive meteorite everyone saw shooting across Alberta and Saskatchewan.

I'm pretty sure that's the same video.

Again, I saw it brightly in El cajon, CA.

By the time I saw it, it was just a huge bright green glowing mass hauling ass due East.

My kids thought it was super cool!

That photo is actually of the Jules Verne Space Freighter burning up upon reentry in 2008

That pic definately doesn't look like your average meteor/meteorite... I'm going to step out on a limb here and speculate that these various sightings are chunks of that satellite breaking apart as it's re-entering the atmosphere ?

The only problem with that idea though is that they weren't expecting the satellite to fall back to earth until closer around the end of this month ?

In regard to what fell in, I would have to guess that based on the pictures, it was the UARS burning in.
Here is the re-entry of a Soyuz back in 2006, for comparison:

I didn't se anything tonight, but my family and I have seen a strange craft during the day time near march air force base, I made a post a while back about it, looked like a conventional jet with a rounded saucer back, me and my brother have both seen it disappear in a cloudless sky.

IM in perris and since I moved here I have always been amazed at how clear the night sky is.

Ive been pitching a tent in the back yard (its been real hot here) and Im pissed I didn't see this thing, outside right now typing on my laptop.
