My husband and I were watching a movie on cable television. (maybe I'm just missing part of it or something?) we have seen this commercial twice now within the last couple months. It's a black background with the face of an owl, his yellow eyes go large and small repeatedly and nothing else is moving. The first time seeing this we hear a voice in the background that says "those who watch will see" (something along those lines). This time it came on and the voice says " a watched egg never boils". I searched the net to see if I could find out any information on it and cannot find anything. There is no brand or logo or any words on the screen, just the owl and the " voice". We are not sure what to make of it and thought this would be a great place for some insight on it. Thanks in advance.

i used to watch IFC (before they absolutely and completely sold out). the owl commercial shouldn't come as a surprise to anyone watching the channel, i'd figure... but anyway, it used to be part of their thriller movie ad promos. now they just show it. i guess they think they're being artistic or some ****.

Its pretty much a rip off of Adult Swim. I think its suppose to be funny but is an epic fail!

Hmmm, that's pretty cool! I wonder if this is viral marketing for IFC or if it's promoting a particular series? Sometimes shows or movies do stuff like this for their fans so they can participate in alternate reality games. Off to do some research!

As for the owl, yeah I wouldn't put much into those conspiracy wise.
