Just wanted to throw this out there and get some opinions. I'm prepared to support Ron Paul no matter what, even if he is 'unelectable'. I feel like he is what we've been waiting for, and that Obama is just the same old politician we see every election. The novelty of his race has worn off, and I hope that people are actually going to remember his promises, compare them with his actions and come out voting for the right man for the job.

Every Bush hater out there should be hating Obama just as feverishly. He is just Bush 2.0 and I hope we can get him out and our country back on track.

If people see this and agree with it don't forget to vote if you live in a primary state and register republican if you live in a closed primary state.

Actually right now I really like one of the things President Obama wants to do...and that is raise taxes on the rich people....the ones who can afford it.....I am thinking if they really cared about the less fortunate ...they would pay higher taxes to help the economy. The rich can say they care ....but I am watching what they are doing. It will be interesting to see just how selfish or generous they really are.

As for Ron Paul....I am a fan of his.

I talked to a hard core Democrat yesterday and he told me that even Dems are looking to Dr Paul,here in VA,because of his stance on the wars.

I personally do not believe Dr Paul is "the answer" but thought it very interesting that even Dems are looking to Dr Paul

Unfortunately, I'm betting that even IF he gets elected... He will die in a terrible plane "accident". That's how the world's-- let's say the peoples'-- greatest leaders generally get out of office, right?

Dear Calodonia, Taxing the "rich" is not the answer...because they don't really have income...like we do.

They pay capital gains taxes...that they can shelter in foundation and investments.

It really sounds great to tax the wealthy,but there really is no system to do so

Even a flat tax would not work because they do not earn money...they already have it...and very well protected

No, they play the system because the system let's the play it.

When we start loosening business regulations and taxes for the middle class where they actually stand a chance to compete, then things might start changing but now, the money just keeps going from poor to rich, poor to rich. This system does not work and Ron Paul realizes it.

I too feel He's what we been waiting for! It makes me mad that he is not getting the coverage from the media and also absolutely no support from them....they are trying to convince people that he doesnt have the support to even make it in hopes of getting people who dont pay close enough attention to whats going on with the debates and things to give up on him so that he wont be picked.

Yes Dear...An income tax is just that...if you have an income it is taxed.

What these people have is a profit on their investment, for that they pay capital gains tax

then they will put that money into their foundation or investment

No Corporatism? How is Ron Paul against this? He supports corporations 100%. Rand Paul even thought British Petroleum was treated unfairly during the gulf oil spill.

You get a star however as the other lines are accurate.

When I read it, I saw it as corrupt corporatism but you are right that Ron Paul is in favor of corporations in a free market.

Very much agree with this statement. Ron Paul's foreign policy is what makes him an attractive candidate for me. I'd be fine with taxing the rich AND ending the countless wars we are fighting but I digress.
