Hi ATS-ers, one and all

I finally found a moment from reading the intriguing posts on this site to pop in and say hello formally. I am fairly new to 'lurking', here, or anywhere for that matter, but have decided to take the plunge!

Some posts have me spell-bound and others I quite happily skippity-hop over, suppressing chortles as I pass... But I have been led in many new cyber-directions as I rummage through the Net - thank you to those ATS-ers for bringing data to the table...

I thought it better I waited until I got past the 'OH MY GOD! THE SKY IS FALLING - GET ME THE BOB AND LEGGIT TO THE BUNKER' moment that I experienced not long after starting to read some of the topics here, before I posted in the Intro Forum. Thankfully, all logic and reason has returned.

So, you may see me pop in on some threads - where I feel I can contribute or make an observation that is helpful.

a question that never has arisen in my mind before, 'how does a Hobbit wipe its ass, whilst avoiding tagnets?' with you this paradox only adds to the ferocity of the knightmare to come

The term 'lurker' is a horrible way to describe what we all do before joining any cyber community. There's no sin in lurking... or just visiting. When you're ready to take part, you have to join and that solves that part of the equation.

The negative 'lurker' concept is driven by the same kinds that would tell you how to bathe, dress and procreate. Don't let them bother you

Hello SonoftheSun! Those threads do make me laugh - but aren't they addictive?! After the first week of ATS visits (the word lurking has been deleted from my vocabulary - doh! Just said it!) it was quite tricky to do anything... I mean, I had one eye on the sky, an ear to the ground, hand on THE bag - got some very strange looks whilst going about 'normal' life!!
