To all you people whining about the fact that they ordered the jets, they took this as a precaution, you need to get a grip. What if they WERE terrorists? You would be that same person whining about why AA or the military didnt do ENOUGH to thwart an attack. You are so worried about taking away your rights, that one of these days it going to come back and bite you in the a$$. Be thankful that they are taking these precautions!

Protect me protect me!!! Wahhhhh I cant look after myself... Really? Thats how you act? Everybody already went through multiple security checkpoints etc etc etc... and people are still afraid...

Any idea how expensive it is to launch 2 F-16's? Over a person using the bathroom?

Id rather face danger than have any of my liberties or freedoms taken away... What ever happened to the day where people watched their own backs, didnt have to rely on others for it...

How about I not be thankful that they are infringing on my rights and everybody elses rights, people should be responsible for themselves, and their families, not have other people responsible for you and your family

No, thats not the point *snip*. The point is that we DO rely on our government to protect us! You think you can protect yourself from a terrorist on a plane? Right!
Infringing on your rights? Youve got to be kidding me. Its called security and the US will do whatever it takes to protect its people. You dont like it? Leave the country! No one is keeping you here.
Infact, answer something. Do you have kids? Parents, family, etc? Ok. Now would you allow them to board a flight with 120 people who have NOT gone through security? I didnt think so.
You know dam well that if you would have seen the same scenario on that plane, that you would have said something as well. There is not ONE person who can tell me that they dont look for "suspicious activity" while flying. And if I remember correctly, arent we on high alert? Wasnt the 10th anniv. just a few days ago? Wasnt there credible info. re: a possible attack?
Like I said, you would be that same person complaining about how we didnt do ENOUGH to prevent the attack!!

I wonder how many pees we're allowed to take before they scramble F-16's and put us on the no-potty list. That would be some good info to have.

I wonder how long before we're simply required to diaper-up and mess ourselves when flying.

At least they don't serve much food anymore, that should help keep bathroom breaks down, not to mention the diapers less "full".

Obviously suspicious potty activity is on "the list" of stuff flight crews are watching for. That list is long and full of stuff that wouldn't have even been noticed pre 9-11.

I suppose the airlines have a right to act on those things in the name of "homeland security" but when they get it wrong the passengers should have some recourse.

I'm guessing they probably cannot sue for damages. This would create an incentive to air crews to be a lot more careful about this kind of thing and obviously we don't want that. We want our cops, pilots and stewardesses wired up like a crack head on day 4 of a week long bender, itchy trigger fingers, etc.

Maybe we should just skip all the foreplay and go straight to the future of air travel:
1. Everyone strips down and changes into provided diapers, paper pajamas and slippers.
2. Second session of X-ray, cavity search / bonus molestation event and lie detector check.
3. Once a final review by special agent Gypsy mind reader clears they take the provided medication and recline in their seats for the flight.
4. Once everyone is confirmed to be in a drug induced, temporary coma the plane can leave the gate.
5. After landing the speed injections begin so the passengers are awake by the time the plane is parked at the gate.
6. Retrieve your clothing and baggage on your way out and thanks for flying paranoia!

About 100 thousand dollars each per hour in time and fuel consumption.

Yes, since the fight on war on terror our nation has spend trillions of dollar on waste and abuse, two darn jets about 200 thousand dollars because two passengers in an airliner got constipated or had diarrhea.

Now can somebody tell me how can 200 thousand dollars per hour can be justified? then our own darn government can not even keep up the nations budget.

Then people dare to ask why our economy is in the crapper.

The war on terror is the biggest hoax been played at the expenses of tax payer in the nation and is still the gullible that supports it.

We are treated like terrorist but the real terrorist is our own government

This is not good, I pee alot, think about pregnant women, IF I ever fly again I'm going to raise my hand for the stewards ask permission to pee an ounce loud enough I have to pee, then when I am done I will let everyone k ow, I am done. If at all possible I won't fly, I stopped flying when TSA started fondling the passengers, no thanks

I'm going to stay one step ahead of the government's propaganda and warn you all not to drink coffee - you could be a terrorist. I've gone to the bathroom 3 times this morning, thanks mostly to the 3 cups of coffee I had.

Nice name calling...

You might rely on the govt to protect you, but I sure dont...

No I wont leave my country... I like it the way it used to be, and will fight to keep it that way, im not a coward, and do not tuck my tail under my legs and run away...

No I dont have kids, and no I wouldnt get on a plane that required me to submit to radiation poisoning, groping of my private areas etc etc...

Yeah that credible info was real credible wasnt it?

The only people who are willing to blow stuff up, are the people looking to take your rights away...

You have alot to learn young grasshopper

The way I heard the story on the radio is there was more than one person in the lavatory at a time......

The nature of the incident was unclear, but the passengers locked themselves in a bathroom and were still inside when the plane landed, the law enforcement official said. The official was not authorized to speak publicly and spoke to the Associated Press on condition of anonymity.

www.detnews.com...

What would upset me more than anything about this and the other airline incident is the unfortunate passengers forced to answer questions before being allowed to leave.

The other escorted flight
detnews.com...

With guns drawn, authorities removed three passengers in handcuffs from Frontier Airlines Flight 623 and interviewed 116 passengers for at least two hours after the 4:22 p.m. arrival.

Another reason why I can't fly on a plane to visit my grandchildren.
First, there is all the security, then the groping, the x-rays to be posted
on youtube. Now, I can't even go the bathroom on the plane.

To their paying customers, the over-the-top security is a VERY BIG something.

Certainly is.

I know some people who wanted to go to the U.S. on holiday. Then they heard some horror stories about TSA security in American airports, and decided to go to Spain instead.

It concerns me too. I'm not scared, or worried. I just don't want the indignity of U.S. customs. I don't want to be treated like an animal in a paddock. The paying customer keeps the airlines in business, and should be treated accordingly.

Thats exactly why we cancelled our trip to the Vermont this summer. We didn't want to risk being a victim of your "security" goons.. sooner or later this whole over kill on security will be the US's undoing.. you're whole population is living in fear of its own government.. geez who wouldn;'t want to tvisit a place like that?

This is bad, that person could of the bad day of peeing too much. There is days I end peeing like 5 times in 30 minutes and it is worst when I have to ride the grayhound bus. People are too paranoid.

Good thing they weren't smoking in there. The Air Marshalls get to shoot you for that one.

How do we know these two weren't sitting on either side of some crazy, homeless scented person who insisted on talking about crazy # and wouldn't STFU? I'd lock myself in an airplane bathroom to get away from people who take up 2 seats sitting next to me w/ their ass squishing under the armrest and pinning me to the opposite one, anyone watching rap videos on their laptop non stop for the entire flight w/ the volume loud enough for me to hear and the occasional small child.

It WAS Frontier though. They probably didn't have enough cash to pay for toilet paper after buying a soda and bag o salty nuts for 20.00.

Man, what a story for the grand kids...

I remember the time your granny and I joined the mile high club....

so wait, let's say it was a "terror ist" with some sort of completely organic bomb made of his own intestines
[because you never can tell]
what were the fighter jets going to do about it?
because i somehow doubt it's the crack negotiators
that they send out with all the missiles and whatnot.
for your safety. clearly.
