I can see pity, sure. Maybe that's what's thrown a lot of us off? I don't think it's compassion.

Too bad I haven't seen video of a solemn occasion I knew she cared about...a comparison might be interesting. Maybe she's ADD and just can't be still for too long? Maybe that's as solemn as she ever looks?

ITT: The lenghts people will go to lie to themselves.

You guys are now to the point of trying to read lips and determine intent by watching facial expressions.

Why are you trying so hard to find more of a reason to hate Obama??? We all know you guys already hate hime and his wife???

It is almost as if you are trying to justify that hate...but why would that be...hmmmmmm????

I got "All that for a folded Flag", She does have a look of contempt on her face and Barrack, doesn't seem to care.

After Obama refused to wear the flag pin on his lapel and didnt know to put his hand over his heart for the National Anthem, you want us to believe they were both commenting on how wonderfully they folded the flag? These two have been anti-American subversives the whole time, with Ayers the Weatherman behind them.

LOL....?

I just want you to believe what is talking place.
Anyone can see they are genuine (or at least acting genuine) and saying something nice about the flag and those who are folding it.

Those with an AGENDA and with HATE for the Obama's see what they want to see.

get a grip.

Some of those posting and spewing their hate in here are pathetic....

"OH my god... they're saying **** America and lets burn the flag"

"WOW She's rolling her eyes and laughing at the dead"

WHAT are you people on.

If you can't see respect and admiration in what they are saying/doing..... then open your eyes.

Stop hating just for the sake of hating.

She says "look how they fold the/that flag" or "Love the way they fold the/that flag"
That's it.... nothing else is being said.

We even had a lip-reading "expert" confirm this, from someone who believed that they were being disrespectful before.

I don't think she would say that,

Just my humble opinion.

i completely agree, and although the OP asked us what we thought she was saying, it seemed they already had their mind made up.

What does it matter if she did? It's a flag, a simple piece of fabric.

I must say, "Look how they fold that flag" is quite close to what I was thinking ("Beautiful how they fold that flag"). I obviously interpreted the "L" sound at the beginning as being the end of a longer word obscured by the divider, which I thought worked best as "beautiful" - while your friend interprets it as the beginning of a shorter word ("look", or "love").

Regardless, this is what happens when people want their President and his family to be evil anti-American elites - they resort to making stuff up. But, of course, we've seen it before. And we will continue to see it.

Plus, it doesn't help calling her "FLOTUS". Sounds like something you find floating in your drink.

I like the term FLOTUS for first ladies.

It does remind me of another word, flatus. That could be descriptive of some of our first ladies that we've had.

"Hey, buddy. Let me tell you something: My daddy died for that flag."

Really? Wow, I bought mine. Yeah, they sell 'em, you know, at K-Mart..."

"Yeah? He died in the Korean War for that flag!"

"Oh! What a coincidence. Mine was (made in) Korea."

Yeah, you could be spot on there

Not my friend.... someone else's GF is an expert in the thread (go back a page or two) and verified it.... like we needed that and can't use our own eyes.

Anyway, yes.... they're commenting on the flag in a nice way.

Some people are just crazy and that is confirmed by reading this thread.

You play a dangerous game best performed from the safety of your keyboard. Your outlaw comedian at least had the coconuts to perform satire from a stage. You do know what satire is, right?

I've been so used to referring to people's friends the past couple days... it slipped

I do remember it was the vomiting unicorn's girlfriend who was the lip-reader who interpreted it. I just forgot who I was talking to when you quoted what they had said.

Excuse me, she was the second expert we had here. The other, an editor who has to match audio to video (especially difficult in conversation) had a different opinion...

That's someone who matches audio they can hear to video they can see versus someone who lipreads video with audio they can't hear. I know who I trust more. Plus, the fact that they came up with something very similar to what I did.

Looks to me like, "All this for a flag" with the eyeroll and Barrack's reply smirk?

I hope I'm mistaken, but that's so rare...

What do you think she said?

It has something to do with a flag..Whatever it was she said it certainly seems condescending by facial expressions.. We have heard from secret service people that she is the Rudest most Racist first lady they've had the misfortune of protecting so wouldn't surprise me if this was a snide remark about our or their Flag.

Are you talking about the video they had here the other day where that guy talks about all the first ladies? LMAO

*snort*

I am a professional musician. I perform my "satire" from the stage on a weekly basis. Bullies like you are as impotent as a Viagra spokes-model without their guns and a gang of hooligans to back them up.

The irony of you, lecturing ME about "hiding behind a keyboard" when you yourself posts as a rattlesnake on a message board for conspiracy theories is rich though.

It looks like to me she is saying "all this for a torn up flag" but I could be wrong. She may very well be saying something totally different. I hope she is.

People are going to believe what they want anyway haven't people here on ATS figured that out by now.

I thought the people on this site were smart. I could be wrong just saying.

I guess you've never seen a Gadsden Flag? You might notice a correlation between my avatar and handle?

Quoted from an external source I think you'll recognize: "It’s all bull#, of course. But it’s also more then bull#. It’s foundational to our experience of existence. Like an architects plan, it marks the boundary between what we know as “real” and what lies beyond the door." -link

I suppose you think this isn't true for everyone? This momentary glimpse of brilliance can be laid over everything...

I'm no bully. Actually, wait a second. A bully attacks what can't defend itself. I attack the indefensible. I see where you might be confused...
