So a woman was arrested as a top boss of Zeta drug cartel.

Veronica Mireya Moreno Carreon, a.k.a La Vero and/or La Flaka, is the first woman linked to the Zetas leadership who has been arrested by authorities, the secretariat said.

Moreno Carreon managed drug sales in San Nicolas de Los Garza, a city in the Monterrey metropolitan area.

She apparently took over from Raul "El Sureño" Garcia Rodriguez, who was arrested by marines last month in Monterrey, the capital of Nuevo Leon, the secretariat said.

So she got caught with a bunch of little baggies containing drugs and six cells phones while driving a stolen car.

The suspected drug trafficker was armed with a revolver and driving a stolen vehicle at the time of her arrest, the secretariat said.

Moreno Carreon, who was carrying six cell phones, was transporting a powder suspected of being coc aine and marijuana, the secretariat said.

She got caught with the Zetas communication specialist. He set up mobile radio transmitters and encryption equipment for the Zetas.

Jose de Jesus Molina, alias Chuy or Mr.Chip, suspected of providing communications equipment to Los Zetas members, was also arrested in the operation.

But this woman has the same name and looks just like a woman cop injured during a kidnapping and given an award for outstanding service.

Shes also listed as a city employee doing training just a couple months ago?

It is crazy in Mexico. I guess its good they have multi taskers to run things down there.

Apparently she was not that good. Only ran the crew for a month? She didn't learn a whole lot from her predecessor did she?

Nice to see the cartel is embracing gender equality. The drug business has always been short on women.

Yeah, and with the ATF sending in the guns there will be no shortage of deaths.

In the fall of 2009, ATF agents installed a secret phone line and hidden cameras in a ceiling panel and wall at Andre Howard’s Lone Wolf gun store. They gave him one basic instruction: Sell guns to every illegal purchaser who walks through the door.

For 15 months, Howard did as he was told. To customers with phony IDs or wads of cash he normally would have turned away, he sold pistols, rifles and semiautomatics. He was assured by the ATF that they would follow the guns, and that the surveillance would lead the agents to the violent Mexican drug cartels on the Southwest border.

When Howard heard nothing about any arrests, he questioned the agents. Keep selling, they told him. So hundreds of thousands of dollars more in weapons, including .50-caliber sniper rifles, walked out of the front door of his store in a Glendale, Ariz., strip mall.

That is the same woman. This is false information by government at its finest. My personal opinion is that this is a government enlisted actor. I bet they have their own acting troupe, it makes perfect sense.

Hmm……. VHF duplexers, repeaters, repeater controllers, tower segments, transmission line, antennas, power supplies, batteries, and various handy talkies. The run of the mill loadout for setting up repeaters. About the same type of stuff I would expect to see at a hamfest.

I would of thought they would have used more advanced equipment than that. I can guaranty that is not encrypted.

If that is their top communications adviser, then they are doing pretty bad.

Trunking receivers, are very hard to track, as they switch channels often.

Um, news flash….. Cavity duplexers are not used on trunked systems. They are only usable on fixed single frequency systems. Trunked systems use combiners.

Some of the repeaters you see stacked up are kenwood TKR series units of various revisions.

I also seen one Motorola and what I am pretty sure is a stack of chicom no names.

All single frequency FM.

Even if they did have trunked systems it would just take a few minutes to find the control channel and you can quickly determine the channeling system to listen to the system long term.
