And another question to you. Lets assume that a person doesnt believe in god and is the nicest person. Never gets into a conflict, always helps when its needed, is the perfect child, husband, father, grandfather and then dies. Does he go to hell because he didnt believe? Is he a bad person not believing in something he has NO EVIDENCE of?

What about people born in africa, china, australia, europe etc. The kids are raised in different cultures!!! They did not pick the place. How does god treat them? Since their parents maybe led them to believe something else. After being raised believing there is no such thing as a god for 25 years of life, do you think that many will start believing after seeing some crap videos on youtube? Did people have youtube from 33 to 2005 A.D. to even try to look for a DIFFERENT opinion(belief)?

I'm not going to hide the fact that I was raised in a Christian home. Admission to this attracts various stereotypes with negative attributes, which are often reason enough to let this fact go unmentioned. We live in an age where people are encouraged to hold an opinion, provided it isn't a religious one - as apparently to do so is to defy all logic and reason. Fair enough.

I haven't been an ATS member for a huge amount of time, but I must say it doesn't take long to predict the types of responses to a given thread based on its title. This one is no different to any other thread that approaches a topic in a 'religious' manner - think evolution vs. creation.

All due respect to the OP, but I do feel that they approached the matter in the wrong way.

I encourage anybody reading this to take a step back and ask themselves what the words 'religious' and 'religion' mean to them. Whenever I hear either of these words, I also think many of the things that you do. Be it a hyped pastor jumping up and down reciting generic verses of scripture and requesting ‘donations’, people in song with their arms raised and their eyes shut, and even speaking in tongues - think commercialised Christianity. At the opposite end of the spectrum, we have killing for a 'cause', a never ending source of media emanating from the East for the sake of Allah. It is possible not to condone any of these types of behaviour, and still believe in a power outside of our realm.

I get the Dawkins camp stance on the state of religious affairs, they make some fair comments. But the OP draws attention to something that I often feel is a stumbling block for the pride of the atheist - the limitations of science. We are enclosed in a world of four, or 11 observable dimensions, depending on who you're talking to. Outside of this, who are we to say that logic and reason are still applicable? Is it plausible that unexplainable observations recorded in modern and ancient history are the result of events outside of this world intersecting with our own? Why do the words extra-dimensional and supernatural need to be mutually exclusive? What about alien and demon?

If you do have the time, I would recommend listening to what Chuck Missler has to say. You don’t have to be ‘religious’ to appreciate the science in his studies.

I don't believe it's foolish to believe in a God, I do however, believe it is foolish not to question anything documented by man. I question my beliefs daily, when was the last time you questioned yours?

Why do Demons need a spaceship? why are they seen in outter space? why do they have bases on other planets? why does NOTHING point in the direction of them being demons?
