Obama spent approximately $535 billion more year-over-year then Bush’s highest year of spending. Because of the continuing recession and slowed GDP, the deficit increased by a staggering $960 billion in 1 year.

Specifically, he spent money like a drunken sailor. And he continues to spend us right out of the top credit rating country that we have always been.

Thanks my friend for that brake out, specially the health care reform, people are still debating the 'socialism" attached to it because they have not clue that the health care reform is a bailout to the insurance companies.

I tell you I already gone dry here trying to educate people on issues within our political system and still people doesn't get it.

Incredible, no wonder our education system is now worst than those of what we call developing countries.

Every president carries the failures or accomplishments of the presidents before them.

With that say I hope those political misguided souls will understand why our nation is falling into chaos since 2004.

My dear friend that is because in order to manage the present budget the already established budgets from previous administration are carry on to the next, we are still supporting the two trillion dollar wars that started under Bush.

Or what you think that because a new president comes in the budgets from the last president are stopped or miraculously disappear?.

My argument is not that Bush or Republicans did such a great job and Obama is not. My argument is that historically when this country has been in the crapper we held the president's feet to the fire. It is not being done to Obama. Why is he so untouchable? He was certainly left a mess but he has failed to clean any of it up. He has only made a bigger mess.

The Republican Party did not have the majority of seats until 2010. That's 2 years that Obama had to push his agenda through. Maybe someone had had enough of that.

In case you hadn't noticed, a "majority" of the seats in the Senate gets absolutely nothing passed. It now takes a "super majority" of 60 votes to get anything through the senate and this is due to the new "filibuster everything" tactics being utilized by the republican minority. If a simple majority could pass legislation in the senate, we wouldn't be where we are now and most of the legislation passed since Obama's election would look quite different. I don't think that anyone would have thought that the GOP would be willing to destroy the American economy in an attempt to persuade voters to elect a new GOP alternative to Obama, but they are and they did.

IMO, the current GOP/Tea Party mentality is more destructive to our way of life here in America than the threats posed against us by Al Qaeda.

It is clear you only know propaganda...it's kind of sad.

Obama is spending money...to try to prop up the economy from completely failing...that collapse started under Bush...not Obama.

The fact that we aren't in a full blown depression is because of the actions taken by Obama.

Your original argument was that the majority of blacks that voted for Obama were clueless.

Since then...you have dug your hole deeper and deeper...and you still haven't admited that you were wrong about your original statement.

And in case you haven't noticed...besides the job situation...the economy is better now than when Obama took office. Jobs drag...that is an economic fact....but make sure you listen to Fox News talk about Jobs Jobs Jobs Jobs....and then when Obama tries to address Jobs with this new bill...watch them criticize him trying to do something about it.

Oh that's right...you already did criticize him about his "lame jobs bill"...and you don't even know what is in it yet.

Well, seems it has degraded to juvenile name calling. Typical Liberal defense tactic. That is my cue to exit. I hope the American public will decide who is right here. Good day.

Of course he made a bigger mess. He was supposed to do so. Corporations have been bailed out and then went on to reap record profits under his watch. Wars escalated. Insurance bailouts under the guise of healthcare reform. He's not operating on behalf of the tax paying public.

He is not untouchable that is nothing but propaganda, I am not fan of Obama in any way that I am of any other politician in the nation, I think they are all whores to the big interest pimps, Obama rating is falling fast, I predict him to be a one term president, but ask yourself this question, if a Republican candidate makes it to the white house with the present state of our nations economy do you think things are going to get better?, no a fat chance, my friend no a fat chance

In order to understand why we are heading nothing but down is to take time and study what has brought our nation to the point we are now, it didn't started 3 years ago, or 10 years ago, but for the last 30 years we have going nothing but down the hill, Clinton so call prosperous years were nothing but a lucky time that our nations history encounter because no major wars were been wagged or funded.

I don't understand the criticism here.

Let's say I agree with a Republican candidate on 6 out of 10 issues but I only agree with Obama on 2 out of 10.

Should I vote for that Republican candidate in hopes of beating the most incompetent President ever?

Or should I act like a spoiled brat and not vote at all giving the incompetent President another 4 years to screw up the country even more?

I see this poll as vindication of Republicans having a smart base of voters. Unlike Democrats who fell for the mantra of "Hope and Change". How's that working for ya?

I almost completely agree with you. But I can't help but notice that it SEEMS as if Obama is not being held accountable for anything.

It doesn't matter who you vote for really, the end will result be the same: corruption and total subjugation.

All one has to do is turn on your radio and listen to the repubs there, They ARE full of hate and if you want to be a hear no evil, speak no evil type then fine. Unfortunately for me I get to listen to these douchebags every day(Mom can't live without the propaganda) and those pundits don't care squat about doing the right thing they only want one thing, their power base back, and that means getting rid of Obama.

Remember, these are the same people that have canonized Reagan as a holy man, which is far from the truth. The same people who think Bush did nothing wrong(again, far from the truth). The truth is that they could not care less about doing the right thing for we the people, they only care about power.

Most Republicans don't even know who Ron Paul is and he's in their party, dammit! They are so full of this insane objective of getting rid of Obama that they will vote for anybody(except RP, as he's shunned by the MSM and most everyone believes the MSM, stupidly).

Hate leads to fear, and fear is what they use to control us. Pretty simple. This is how our system works nowadays.

For the record, I dislike Dems just as much, it's just easier to rag on the Repubs as they are much more vocal and their pundits are much more popular. The left/right paradigm has proven itself to be a farce and if you choose a side, dem or repub then you are a fool IMO. Neither side cares at all about actual people like us so why should I care for them?

No worse than Obama crossing the country urging congress to pass a bill that doesn't even exist.

"Pass this bill!" What bill?

This post kind of reminds me of how Obama got elected in the first place.

His policies didnt mean anything to anyone, all because..... 'He Wasnt George Bush'

This is similar to what I was going to say. I know I was clear that I voted AGAINST Bush in 2008. Obama (although I agreed with him on most of the issues and did and DO care about the issues) was the anti-Bush. Almost anyone who could prevent another 8 years of Bush would have gotten my vote.

So, this voting against someone is not new. I'm not surprised that the GOP has no one to choose from, though. They are fractured and don't really stand for anything.

Bush didn't run in 2008. McCain distanced himself from Bush, this is why he lost. You don't distance yourself from a great 2 term President and expect it to not have ramifications.
