Iraqi independence?

Am I the only one wondering what the "Iraqi Indepence" after the 30th of June really means, when (in addition to operations on the ground) the USAF is flying massive bombing raids on the Ali shrine?

Maybe somebody saying "we gave the country back to the Iraqi people" should just shut up. It never happened.

Too true, Iraq isnt independant, its ruled by puppets who bow down to their US overlords. How can you force a democracy on a nation? Democracy by force is not democracy.
