My question should have been more broad. Why do those in the Conservative side of the field seem to hate Ron Paul? I find it weird since he is, you know, a conservative.

It might be because he is obsessed with the Fed. Economy in shambles? It's the fed. How can we create jobs, Ron? Shut down the fed. Kitten stuck in a tree? It's the fed again.

I'm not sure but it might be because you don't seem to be a paulbot.

It is almost a sin on this site to not worship or agree with everything Ron Paul.

If you criticize him or his ideas you are instantly a troll.

Because Ron Paul doesn't blindly support the war machine and Israel. Like it shows in this Fox video they are ok with the things he says until it comes to fighting Israel's wars.

God (Ron Paul) does have a son named Jesus (rand Paul).

That was the funniest clip I have ever seen. I worked on "The Factor" as the TelePrompTer operator as a last minute fill in. I needed the extra money and volunteered at the last minute even though I had never operated prompter before.

Now I know why the stage director (the person you hear counting him into the segment) warned me not to screw up his read or he might flip out. What a dick.

No we don't have a problem with your posts, we just think you come across as a pompous assclown.

Until someone better comes along (which will never happen) Ron Paul is this country's last hope. One man can't change everything, but rest assured he can and will do some damage to the corruption in Washington if he was elected. Don't believe that one man could accomplish this? Take a look at what Obamatron has done to this country with his socialist agenda - can anyone say health care bill, or nationalization of the US auto industry?
This country is broke and has been for a long time. We need a smaller Federal govt. and to quit spending trillions on half-assed undeclared "wars". What other candidate is fully backing what needs to be done to fix this country AND has the experience to get it done besides Dr. Paul?

If their is a candidate better than Ron Paul out there that us ATSers are unaware of could you please enlighten us with your political wisdom?

Many Democrats (Blue Republicans) and liberals have joined the Ron Paul Freedom movement. I don't think the Revolution March (DC - July 12, 2008) was an internet function; I do believe it was in 'real time'; therefore the allegations that Paul is ONLY an internet phenomenon just don't wash. And his numbers have grown expotentially since that march on Washington. Here's one video, of many, of that day:

Because the "conservative" media isn't conservative. Both Social Conservationism and Neo Conservationism are left wing movements that have their roots in the Old Democratic Party. Hence their love of big government and destruction of personnel rights.

So leftist's run the show and want to keep non-leftist's out. Hence the push to put leftist Romney and leftist Perry at the head of the pack. And why the "conservative" media supported leftist McCain and has always supported supposedly moderate candidates that can "win" but are anything but moderate and tend to be closet leftist's.
