I think Paul was speaking of selected individuals not everyone if its in your heart than GOD has put it there,Paul was one of the most brilliant men of his time, but i think all of us in the body of CHRIST that are married should encourage one another and both preach unto multitudes

If preaching is the aim, I'm sure a good dose of celibacy will help. Celibates mainly become deranged to the point of only half-controlled insanity, and all the accumulated energy manifests in fanatism. The world definitely needs more individuals with burning eyes trying to interfere in other peoples' lives.

Sorry, presently I don't have time for semantic juggling and debate-tactics.

Spend less time on conjured-up arbitrary tripe, and you'd have plenty of time.

I have my own priorities, values and premises concerning what subjects to approach and how to do it. In the present case of both Paulus and celibacy taken separately or together, with 'followtheevidence' as debating-counterpart I deemed the outcome not worth my input.

But thanks for your organizing-of-my-contribution suggestion.

Yeah, and in other circles that's referred to as "arbitrary", but whatever.

But thanks for your organizing-of-my-contribution suggestion.

No problem, you do the same around here with such regularity, I was certain my use of the same "debate-tactics" would get your attention.

To once and for all end this (and similar) off-topic and irrelevant several-post extensions into the subject of debate-tactics and character-insinuations, I invite to you next time take it to the only thread I have authored, where such is suitable.

On my part this direction is closed on this thread.

Is that how we get you to drop out of a thread and cease with the trolling? To ask you to provide sources for your ramblings and rantings??

Establishing a causal relationship requires statistical evidence to deem it both valid and reliable. This won't require any more conjecture on your part, just the studies you must have referenced in order to make such a claim. Thanks.

One question to the title of this thread...

What would have happened if everyone adopted this idea that its better to be celibate?

Everyone would have either been married, or had no children...

Thus the world would be filled with "so called" christians for a few hundred years... then our species would eventually go extinct.

Nifty concept... Way to go Paul

Too bad Paul never said everyone should be celibate.
