Ah, thanks, I hadn't even gotten around to looking more in depth at this film yet. Looks like I'm going to need to watch it...just to correct one thing from my review though, it looks like this is actually the jewish barber speaking in place of Hynkel after they manage to accidentally switch places.

As far as if Ron Paul ever said anything like this...maybe. Some of it's actually not too far from what he already says, and is actually along lines I'd LIKE to think so-called christian conservatives could get behind, but you're very possibly right (even if it were only because it were Ron Paul saying such things ).

This is a pretty good one from Tim Collins Lieutenant Colonel on the eve-of-battle speech to his troops in Kuwait. The speech was extemporised, and was recorded in shorthand by a single journalist.

It's really a shame that you posted the chopped up version of the speech. What he actually said was far more interesting, and far more important than the butchered one you posted.

Let's just say that, as far as much of ATS is concerned, Martin King has a pretty large, uh, black mark against him.

But yeah, that his last speech are big ones.

I think this thread deserves a bump. S & F OP.

I came across this video on Facebook earlier today. It's been quite a long time since I last watched that movie. I had forgotten what a great speech Chaplin gives.

I did an ATS search to see if someone had posted this lately. I was gad to see that you already have it posted. Although I'm a bit disappointed at the lack of a responses from ATS members.

Hopefully more people watch this and get inspired to join in and speak out.

I would like to nominate William Coopers's Speech to be a contender for the top 10 greatest speeches.

There was a thread here: www.abovetopsecret.com... that was closed by an admin due to the same speech in both videos I assume, but it kinda irked me that it was closed as it was to an entirely different set of video clips (I might add, seemed to inspire a little more than this thread's video) so I felt it needed to be posted. It was also kind of crummy that the admin also pointed out the search feature of the site. How the hell are you suppose to find this thread when the title of the videos are entirely different. I mean really..?




Anyway. I enjoyed both videos and have always enjoyed the movie, which I recommend to anyone that hasn't seen it. "The Great Dictator".

Yes I have message the admin asking them whether they could put it back up as it was totally different music and videos... Just same speech which should not matter I am actually really annoyed because after watching this linked version I think the one I had was more effective.. Can they put it back up? Please admin!!!
