What happens when you don't watch television and have no idea the "events" unfolding?
What happens when Big Media isn't a big part of your daily life?
This is not apathy, but more like breaking from the program.
What I am getting at is simple:
Let's say that the media is misdirecting attention...
Or let's presume there are alot of events taking place, on purpose.
If one never gets distracted by the programming they develope and use...
How can one say that there might be something going on?
Do you see what I am saying?
Only if you pay attention to their programming, would you think there's alot taking place.
If you see past what they are trying to show you...you wouldn't even notice.
You would think there's a reason behind everything that is being showed to you.
Sensory overload is what I see taking place....BUT:
What if the people behind it, knew this and took advantage of it? (which is my opinion)
Well that's how I see information today.
Because without technology the way it is, we would never know things instantaneously.
It is a great way to become overwhelmed...with things you can do nothing about.
It is a great way to add unneccessary stress to one's life.
It's a great way to become medicated.
Or, in my eyes, it a great way to lose oneself.
I am not saying there's "Not alot going on"...
I am saying that there might be reasons that the television is "programmed"...
Or there might be a reason they want you to think a ton of things are happening.
I think I understand what you are saying...
