I am afraid I have to agree with dr_strangecraft.

I could understand if this was in the jokes/puns sections.

Its not and it comes across as a vicious attack on peoples appearances. Particularly elderly people. I may not like alot of the people in these pictures but I don't see any sense in mocking them like this. We all get old and wrinkly.

after you explain your opinion i do understand where you are coming from. i didn't think of this thread as picking on senior citizens. in my head i was thinking of who these people are, what they have done, words they have spoken, and so many things i've read over the years about these different figureheads.

i agree with you in that mocking people because they are aged or for their cosmetic appearance is immature and speaks poorly for those who indulge in such. again, i share that i honestly did not think that was what this thread was about. i regret that i didn't see 'the big picture' from that viewpoint, i took the content from a very different angle.

i just think anyone who makes it to old age deseves a medal. battered, beaten and weathered by life and illness, love and loss and fearful of whats in store for them. how do they do it. even the guys you think you hate. these old guys end up the same as everyone else, old , weak and withered. they will probably end up fearing death more than most.

i'm pretty happy with my lot and not sure I would ever join the oap's club. don't seem to have the patience to hang around here that long. maybe give it another decade or so and that will be enough. :-)

Regardless, that is beside the point. Anyone who chooses to live in the spotlight, knows that everything they do, will be seen. That's just part of it.

I prefer the shadows, myself, as opposed to the spotlight.
