Thought I'd make a little creative questionnaire on ET related topics to help people (including myself) figure out where we personally stand on the inherent subject matter Answer them if you wish and add your reasoning too, or just ponder how you stand, i know it's helping me kinda work out where i am on each issue. So without further ado:

1) do you believe there is any life on other planets?
2) do you believe there is sentient life on other planets?
3) do you believe there is sentient life on other planets, capable of space travel (this means interplanetary in a solar system)?
4) do you believe there is sentient life on other planets, capable of faster than light travel ?

5) do you believe god or gods created any life on other planets?
6) do you believe god or gods created sentient life on other planets?
7) do you believe evolution created any life on other planets?
8) do you believe evolution created sentient life on other planets?

9) do you believe there is any life in other dimensions?
10) do you believe there is sentient life in other dimensions?
11) do you believe we are being visited by sentient life from other planets?
12) do you believe we are being visited by sentient life from other dimensions?

13) do you believe any extra-terrestrial life, be it sentient or otherwise, comes from another universe?
14) do you believe other universes are different from other dimensions or the same?
15) do you believe all sentient lifeforms, other than earthlings, are either demons, angels or gods?

16) do you believe demons, angels or gods, are from other planets?
17) do you believe demons, angels or gods, are from other universes?
18) do you believe demons, angels or gods, are from other dimensions?

19) do you think you know what the word "Supernatural" means and if so, what?
20) do you think there's evidence of extra-terrestrial visitors in ancient texts?
21) do you think there's evidence of demonic and angelic visitors in ancient texts?
22) do you think extra-terrestrials are the demons and angels in ancient texts?

23) did extra-terrestrial sentient life create humans?
24) did extra-terrestrial non-sentient life create humans?
25) did human life evolve on its own ?
26) did human life evolve as a result of non-sentient panspermia?
27) did human life evolve after being modified by sentient extra-terrestrials?
28) do you think human life was the result of panspermia and extra-terrestrial intervention?

29) do you think god or gods created human life?
30) are gods extra-terrestrials? and if so, why?
31) are gods other dimensional?
32) are gods from other universes?

there we go, if anyone can think of any further questions that would help expand our minds on what subjects we should be considering, now would be a good time to mention them, i think

my personal view is, ETs from our universe were called angels in the bible, and that they are other life forms, created before us. God and the Gods are sentient ETs, either of other dimensional or other universe origin. Some gods may be from our universe. I also believe that wormholes were confused with the concept of God(s) because of their creative role in the creation of the universe. The method of creation was confused with a sentient creator. I believe in micro evolution but not macro evolution. I don't believe demons are ETs, as they have no bodies of their own, and would have to have someone provide them with bodies. Erm. that's about it

A resounding yes to the first 4.

Interdimensional life could be a possibility.
I always thought this is what sparked off modern day appearances from the 1940's on,
in that when we detonated nuclear devices,
as well as the huge energy release in our dimension,
we also caused "issues" in the other dimensions,
which stirred up the hornets nest of visitations.

Speculating on religious issues I have to avoid,
as I have chronic anger issues with that topic,
and have been told to keep my BP down.

Just my opinion.

thanks for responding. note that i just added 5 more questions to the bottom of the post. can't believe those questions slipped my mind at first.

I'll go with a definite yes for 26, non-sentient panspermia,
I believe space to be infested with the simple molecules of life embedded in debris
from previous worlds eons old.
As soon as a planet cools down after formation in a goldilocks zone with liquid water,
it will become infested, and life will quickly take root.

Tweaking by unknown agents along evolution is a possibility,
particularly if they are a very old race.

crud, you just made me think of another question i should add: do you think human life was the result of panspermia, evolution AND extra-terrestrial intervention

lol

You have pretty much hit the nail on the head,
this is what I believe to be true
panspermia set the seeds,
evolution honed organisms to the habitat,
AND extra-terrestrial intervention has taken place many times,
to nudge things along in a particular direction.

That is, I believe, our origins.
Consequently it would follow that whatever off world life exists in the cosmos,
it is likely that it will be genome based,
and likely similar to species encountered on earth.
All down to habitat that it primarily evolved in.

As regards the bigger question of original life creation,
that's another issue,
but I believe the cosmos to be very very much older,
and way, way bigger
than what we are led to believe by current science dogma.

Given sufficient unfathomable periods of time,
anything is possible.

interesting. stars for you, for your participation and early answers. i'm hoping the reason it hasn't had many other responses is because some folks are actually answering all the questions lol i should probably put my own opinion in that op but it's already so long lol.

Seeing as I have bared my soul,
the next progression would be a brief summary of your own take on things,
and no doubt as the thread progresses
you can dig in deeper if the need arises.

BTW, I am not anti deity at all,
but I don't trust those that have hard opinions on any religion
on what is currently an unprovable hypothesis.
Just because 100,000,000 people believe something is so,
it doesn't necessarily make it so,
without hard facts it is little more than speculation.
And if you go down the "faith" route,
that is a mind trap.
See the last part of my signature.

Salute.

Interesting indeed.

I do have some wacky personal ideas on reincarnation of the spirit,
I believe we are sent here many times,
to inhabit a container(body),
to learn, make good moral judgements,
tread the path of life with good and evil as the boundaries,
making our personal choices en-route
and suffering or enjoying the consequences of our decisions,
learn empathy and
evolve as a spiritual being,
before we can move on.
I believe,
during "time out" between lives,
we personally pick along with a mentor
what is in front of us, and how we will be tested during life.
The die is set with our own chosen parameters and we are dispatched.
The greater the test/hardship chosen,
the more the gain.
Some will pick an easy route with minimal gain,
others may go for the bigger payoff at the end,
by choosing and enduring terrible things as a test of the spirit.

When we inhabit the body at birth we have NO memory of this,
until we meet up with our mentor again.
And so the cycles will continue until we meet the criteria,
in the time permitted,
for us to ascend to the next level.
Some of our ET visitors might be at this level, or higher,
and interaction with us at a lower level may be prohibited.

The ET presence will turn out
to be no simple thing, if we ever find out.

During my search for the truth,
a so called bona fide psychic told me my little daughter then aged 8
was an old spirit and had been here many times before,
and contained much innate wisdom.
My little son then aged 9,
wasn't as far along in this process
in the psychic's view.

Time will tell.

Just my opinion,
I ain't selling this stuff

What I believe in is keeping things simple. My questions are not wordy, my thoughts do not question what faith answers. In my spare time there is no reason to wonder so much. I have learned from time and time again that humans learn from what they see in front of them. So I study more, but nothing far out.

i had this notion after reading the holographic universe, that perhaps we have a quantumly entangled version of ourselves in an eternal body, that is experiencing this life, thru our ....what did i call that....encounter suit, called a human body. then i realized there were a few problems with that scenario.

The periods where we review and discuss stuff with our mentor,
exists out of earthly time, just one dimension of many.

It's all interconnected.

The whole ET presence on earth may be so far above our heads,
that it is small wonder that non-disclosure has a firm lid welded on.
The reality could impact many things that the public hold dear,
and it may be a rule among visitors
that the truth about our reality has to be witheld from us at all costs.
Maybe this was the price paid to be able to travel among the stars.

Interstellar travel may turn out to be a prize only worthy
of those way, way, way ahead of us in our evolution both in technology and spirit
and because it has the potential to contaminate other cultures,
consequently it would be policed ruthlessly.

Care to elaborate on what the problems were with your quantum entangled hypothesis?

was a process of elimination:

1) i considered any such body to be a real body vs. this temporary body
2) who would be taking care of my real body? is it just floating around somewhere?

ya know small glitches in the theory

If I am correct, there is a high probability that the "real" you does not have a body
but exists as pure energy
but can only exist in this form in another dimension.

While on the Earth corporeal trip,
as well as having a bad case of amnesia,
you inhabit a container(body).
This is mandatory.
No floating about scaring the crap out of the neighbours dog for you.
He has his own canine issues
fighting impure thoughts towards the cat.

IMHO

More tomorrow,

I think this is a cop out....

you need to answer these questions yourself.

Do we not have the answers within us.

You will have yours.

You don';t need mine,

I don't think any important question begins with "Do you believe". Rather, assuming the question is well defined (not easy), then it begins: "what is the evidence for ...".
