The official name of America is United States of America but people might just call it 'US', 'USA' or plainly 'America'. United Kingdom or Great Britain are official names for Britain but most people call it 'UK' or Britain'. Does it matter what it's officially called.

Whether it's called North Korea or Democratic People's Republic of Korea we still know where it is :-P
