PROMINENT members of the Melbourne Jewish community lied to the police, covered up an alleged sex scandal and protected a man accused of repeatedly molesting children from a school in St Kilda East, a court has been told.
Locksmith and security guard David Samuel Cyprys, 43, was yesterday charged with 16 counts of indecent assault and 13 counts of gross indecency claimed to have been committed between 1984 and 1991.

People who purportedly follow this relgion have protected a (at this point, not gone to trial, assumption/charge is paedophilia) life destroying paedophile = all followers of the Jewish faith are paedophile protectors?
Judaism is a religion that protects paedophiles? Where are you coming from with this? Hasn't this all been the same issue with the catholic church? Are all religions paedophile supporters? Sorry dude, please fill in the gaps here...

Lets not blame this on religion lets blame it on scumbags. There are millions and millions of devout people that would not think twice about reporting the abuse of a child.

A life time in jail is too good for some people, they should all be locked up.

So "Melbourne Jews" are up there with the Catholic Church, House Democrats, Republicans, moslems, the medical professionals , day care centre workers - shoot them all!!

About the article: The headline looks like the article contains more information on the "protected by the Jewish Community" part of the story but after reading it, it does not really go into detail as to who, why and how exactly...

This article says that they are protecting an 'accused' man rather than a 'convicted' man.

If he is accused he is not yet guilty, however if his name is released before he is convicted, the public will immediately assume his guilt (as did every post above).

Hence I can understand a group protecting a member of their own community prior to a conviction regardless of their religion.

If he is found guilty lock him up and throw away the key and make a face-book page about it.

As a Jew, when I read this article the other day I was disgusted and ashamed to hear this paedophile was protected; I want him arrested and any of those involved in protecting this man should be charged for subverting justice. Unfortunately, this is also common place in Israel. What these families go through and their suffering is enormous.

Paedophilia is a poison that reaks through all races people regardless of their religious or soci-economic denomination.
