Are you for real?

or you simply don't think.

How can you be real ?

Considering that self doubt is the leading cause of slackerism, I think I'll pass fighting with this one. I'd rather be a productive memeber of society.

Reality is that which is perceived by the viewer.
We give reality meaning merely by witnessing it.
If we did not exist, reality as it is to us, would be a moot point.

We do exist though... simply because we perceive our reality.

I interact with you, you interact with me, therefore, we are both part of the same reality.

At least this much we can be certain of.

I need coffee, and a notepad... then I swear I'm all over this....

Its not about what you think, by time your brain processes a thought it is already embedded with doubts. Nothing makes sense because everything is possible.

You could argue that it was "license plate speak" before it was "text speak." And if you can't figure out that RU4 sounds like "are you for" then you're hopeless.

And to the OP - the only reason I think I'm real right now is because if I don't show up to work tomorrow people are going to be pissed so I must exist to some degree

Ah but the brain is so much more.

Lets look at an action or thought from reverse:
We make a decision.
We have a thought.
Multiple neurons are depolarized in a web.
A single neuron is depolarized.
I single chemical reaction happens.
What then? How much farther back can we go?

If it all stems back to a chance molecular reaction then we are not thinking.

We are just very fancy chemical reactions.

But we aren't are we? There does seem to be a lot more to it than that

Edit~If you like philosophy I highly recommend checking out a course in Eastern Religious Philosophy. It will blow your mind. There are so many text dating back thousands of years on crazy philosophy subjects like this.
