You are such a victim Neo, I am sooo sorry that you wander around ATS saying kind and reasonable
things only to be attacked by communist operatives. The Democrats don't claim to be the party of
responsibility NEO, that is your self righteous goon squad.

"always the pot calling the kettle" I know Neo... you should stop doing it now shouldn't you?

I hope one day you will come to hate the taste of your own toes

I have a neighbor who is a Teamster and he is nothing like this jerk Hoffa. I sincerely hope that the rank and file members of the unions, like my neighbor, are smart enough to know that resorting to violence will not lead anywhere positive. If even one person is injured or killed because of this "call to arms" by Hoffa he should be arrested.

I'm sure union members feel a lot of anger right now but they should understand that there is just as much anger on the other side of the argument. People who have been silent for a long time have reached their limit and are not going to "take it" any longer. We don't need any idiots like Hoffa trying to start a fire when both sides are already near their flash point.

Neo and Janky, don't either one of you realize that by blindly supporting your party of choice you are doing nothing more than furthering the destruction of our nation through partison bigotry? Both parties are nothing more than 2 sides of the same coin, putting on a well rehearsed play of "entertainment politics" in hopes of having people do exactly what you 2 are doing. You are falling for their divisive class warfare and playing directly into their hands.

The fact is that political parties are one of the biggest threats to this nation and it has been known to be just that for a very long time. Madison and Hamilton wrote extensively of the dangers of political "factions" in government in the Federalist Papers, and warned us that "men of factious tempers would become elected and fall to the sudden breeze of their passions, and may forget their obligations to their constituents, and prove unfaithful to their important trust". That is exactly what has happened to America, we have repeatedly elected a bunch of professional liars and thieves into the most powerful offices in the land and now we wonder why we are stuck in a political quagmire and a government that only seeks to serve it's own interest and the interest of those whom contribute to their agenda.

These tyrants that we have in office today have absolutely zero concern for the betterment of the people or society, they are only concerned with preserving the power that they have over the will of the people. This is very much evident by the actions and words of Hoffa Jr. and the majority of those in D.C. TPTB know that as long as they can keep the people distracted with the class warefare/have vs. have not battle, we will be too occupied by our in-fighting to ever come together and organize in any form that will ever really bring about a true change in our government policy.

As for Obama and his supporters such as Hoffa, they are h*ll bent on doing all they can do to discredit anyone whom opposes them and their ideals, and they are getting ever closer to crossing the line of inciting violence in our society. Just as Maxine Waters called for bank runs, flash mobs, and civil disobedience Obama is now declaring "war" on the GOP, only he is smart enough to have one of his mouth pieces do it for him.

Personally I think that all of our politicians are responsible for the division that we are seeing in our nation and I think that we are so divided as a country that there is no turning things around and we are really faced with the very real possibility of seeing major civil unrest and social uprising in this country. This is exactly what TPTB want to happen because, through executive orders FEMA has been made the most powerful government organization in American history and has complete power to impliment truly unconstitutional laws without congress being able to act on them for 6 months.

Just do a web search on "FEMA ,executive orders, suspend elections, transportation hubs, martial law". It is scary the power they have during a natural disaster, state of emergency, or national disaster. The sooner that people realize that niether of the two parties are looking out for the best interest of our nation the better.

Democratic rhetoric has not caused the deaths of any innocent American lives lately has it?

The same can not be said for Republican rhetoric that led to the shooting deaths of six people.

Now of course the GOP is offering praise and encouragement for the outcome by raffling of the same gun.

The Grand Old Party can aptly be referred to as a bunch of SOB IMO

No one will get killed or injured out of this these are the kind loving union folks were talking about here. Just threaten to take away their health benefits or reduce their pay and they will strike and then they will forget about everything else going on. Yes a little tongue in cheek there I know. I think someone said it right earlier, thugs.

My heart breaks when I hear how meanie mean those meanie meanheads are to the poor, poor right.
Of course, if he had said "Everybody here has a vote." immediately before "take them out." It would have even clearer that he wasn't referring to 2nd amendment remedies.

Oh wait... that's what he did:

But you go ahead, and feel all outraged and victimized, and if you are going to hurt some people, I'll drive the car...

You're out to lunch.

Even Laughner's own classmates described him as quite liberal, and one of his favorite reading materials was The Communist Manifesto. Many a hardcore liberal here on ATS created apology threads in the following days for assuming that since Gabrielle Giffords was a democrat, that it had to be some right wing extremist.

All of that is here nor there though, because the truth is, the guy's nuts, period.

Instead of asking whether democratic rhetoric has cost the lives of innocent Americans, maybe you should be asking yourself what kind of lowlife would falsely try to use such a tragedy to further their own political agenda.

As far as the OP goes:

I saw another thread created this morning basically asking why Obama didn't apologise for Hoffa's words.

Even though Hoffa's a complete idiot, unions are worthless thugs, and I can't stand what Obama and his administration have done to this country, I can offer my own observation as to why he may not have said anything. Whether he would have anyway is another story.

He wasn't there.

Watching the live satellite feeds yesterday, I saw Obama get on Air Force One, then off, in real time. His motorcade didn't even arrive to the plant until a few minutes after Hoffa's speech. I just don't see how he possibly could have been briefed on what Mr. Union Thug said in that short period of time.

Again, I'm not defending Obama, or the rhetoric at all, just pointing out that he couldn't have known what was said, and any praise he may have given Mr. H. had nothing to do with his speech, so I have to give him a pass. Whether it's ever brought up again, time will only tell, but, I highly doubt it.

Shows how the union as a small percentage of the employed has turned on the people.

Why don't we take out the unions? They're run by thugs, enforced by thugs.

What kind of group is all about increasing taxes? Oh yeah, the group that benefits from TARP, stimulus and bailouts, the great tax robberies of the century. Those fng unions can teabag me.

Edit: Let me correct myself, it appears there's an effort to turn the people against the people, instead of against the bureaucrats and thieves in the government. Jimmy Hoffa and Obama are pawns of the real thieves.

Greetings,

OK, so you have thugs threatening thugs. What's the big deal.

Let's face it, the GOP wants a one party America and for you to work for a dollar a day. They have become sociopaths.

What makes you think the unions aren't going to fight that.

You better hope the union thuggery wins this one, unless of course, you think a one party sys and a dollar a day is just fine for America;inc.

Seriously... seriously? Well, I'll tell you what I tell my liberal friends when they put REASON in "park" and TALK in "overdrive": Because I like you so much, I'll make sure you get two blankets when you are processed into the "camp". Because of their LBO (liberal brain disorder), some actually believe me.

Bread and circuses, from the Unionista Obots in Detroit???

Detroit...where city services have to be rationed by neighbothood viability. Detroit where every Union dream and Democratic socialist ideal has been in use, full throttle, for over 60 years...Detroit!!!

This is how stupid The Powers That Be...the Obama Puppet Masters think we as a Nation have become. The backdrop of Detroit is as 'in your face' as Hoffa's screed. Don't look at the 16.9 percent unemployment; look at the picture of Obama "for the Union worker"...right...

Obama needs "outrage" at Hoffa's comments..and to Bidens (but sadly, Joe's "Barbarians at the Gate reference of yesterday just didn't grow the legs that Hoffa's did). Bread and circuses; smoke and mirrors. Thursday night is coming and Dear Leader will have NOTHING new to say...so better manufacture a distraction.

Did anyone really expect rational dialogue and sensible statements?

This is how it is. The gloves came off a long time ago. I imagine that the talk will get even worse. Scattered violence at events. Bomb threats et al.

This is the new landscape of American politics.

Folks, get used to it.

After doing some research I found that originally Jared Lee Loughner was reported as a registered Republican from some sources.

This was later refuted or covered up, and was later reported that he was a registered Independent.

Your implication that I'm a crazy lowlife for my statements seem to confirm those implications about yourself.

The was the warm up to obama's speech. You know, the very same obama that told us all that we need to tone down the political rhetoric ...

source

They've got a war, they got a war with us and there's only going to be one winner. It's going to be the workers of Michigan, and America. We're going to win that war," Jimmy Hoffa Jr. said to a heavily union crowd.

"President Obama, this is your army. We are ready to march. Let's take these son of bitches out and give America back to an America where we belong," Hoffa added.

Obama addressed the crowd shortly after Hoffa.

So, the second front of obama's 2012 campaign is now out in the public view. First, it was the "everyone that disagrees with obama is a racist" strategy. Now the unions are declaring war on Republicans. You can say all you wan that these are just words, but union thugs have a way of not seeing it that way. We will have union democrats actually doing what the left says they're afraid the tea party members would do (but haven't).

Political hypocrisy at its worst. Tearing America apart at a town near you.

Nice cherry picking.

“Everybody here has a vote,” Hoffa said Monday. “If we go back and we keep the eye on the prize. Let’s take these sons of bitches out and give America back to America where we belong.”

Pretty clear what he said when you include all the words. That is not going to stop you Brietbart lackeys from jumping half a sentence though is it.

Hey now, don't go blaming pot for his psychotic ideals and beliefs.

H3ll I'm a proud and public supporter of it and have been an active connoisseur of my little green friend for 20 years and have never even thought of going postal on anyone (well there was a man that I caught breaking into my home, but I didn't act on my urges). In fact I have worked everyday since I was 17 except for days off and vacation, and am a law adiding citizen. Pot is way less dangerous for a person and IMO a society than alcohal and has even been proven to have many beneficial uses.

I'm not trying to flame on you, I just don't like to see people demonize a completely benign herb. People are responsible for their actions, not a substance that they may be on. If a person has evil in their heart they will have it regardless of what they ingest.

Obama is pushing trade agreements with 3 more countries.

REPUBLICANS SUPPORT IT...i just read an article on it. It's part of their "job creating" measure. Frickin joke.

news.yahoo.com...

The man who stands up and wants to end our free trade agreements will become president...not a single person running is against free trade.

yeah, you can have some weird ass jacko version of Ron Paul's..."I'm against free trade agreements, but for free trade"...but that's it.

Not a single politician running is truly against free trade.

And as soon as someone does finally run a "fair trade" campaign, the corporate media will start calling that person an isolationist...even though we had strong tariffs pretty much OUR ENTIRE NATION'S HISTORY.
