So, if there is NO Satan, is their evil in the world?
Evil is something that humans define. I know to believers something like that sounds horrifyingly subjective but considering the alternative is a
never-changing inflexible absolute morality I'll choose the former over the latter every time.
Here's an example, a lion attacking and eating a gazelle, or even a human, is generally not considered evil. It's acceptable for a lion to attack,
even to attack a human, to feed or to defend itself or its young. A volcanic eruption or other natural disaster also cannot behave with evil. Evil
then is reliant upon intention and is generally tied to the concept of free will.
So to eventually get around to your question, the answer is yes, there is evil in the world without a supernatural boogeyman to serve as its advocate.
In any animal intelligent enough which possess empathy and whose actions involve intent there is the possibility of evil.
