Seriously. I listen to a lot of music, but Eluveitie is one of the most solid bands I've come across. Their music is pretty much the epitome of the never-ending struggle for freedom. They come from Switzerland where the old Celtic culture is still very much alive. I always find myself fantasizing about grabbing a sword and riding into battle... then I realize that the tyrants of our modern world are faceless and hiding from the people.

It's amazing to him, that's all that matters.
I'm sure we all have some questionable taste in music.
I like the genre of music, not so much the band.

Hold the Heathen Hammer High is not only an incredible song but the music video is the funniest thing I have ever seen, ever.

I have an Ensiferum album, actually ("From Afar"). That CD must have been in my car stereo for two months straight.

And I have "Hold the Heathen Hammer High" on my mp3 player, haha. I dunno if you've heard of Suidakra, but you should listen to them if you haven't already:

Just the fact that there's a genuine passion behind it, unlike the hipster filth that music elitists on the internet hold sacred or the generic crap that passes onto the radio...

haha I emailed the vocalist of Alestorm last week about accepting me as the band's roadie but he never replied. I know he read the message but he apparently doesn't need my help, lol. Its a shame, though, because I think both of us would have benefited from that

i can appreciate that; passion, the genuine soul in music, definitely separates it from the mass of garbage, big time. i agree with your reflection on the overall state of radio music, it's putrid and sadly it's been that way far too long.

thanks for taking the time to reply, and for sharing the tunes
