These things are soooo good! I love Almond Joy candy bars so I decided to make them into cookies.
I am not a big baker but I wanted to make something for a good friend who doesn't always get to have fresh goodies. I am more of a meal type cooker
but those are hard to send overseas!
I guess I don't find baking as challenging but I am branching out! I will have to make some French desserts, they seem a little more involved lol
My mom said the challenge in baking is being able to not eat everything when it's done. LOL! I laughed when my mom actually made a funny
These are easy and make about 4 dozen!
Mblah's Almond Joy Cookies
2/3 cup butter
3 cups flour
1 cup each brown and white sugar
2 1/4 tsp vanilla
1 1/2 tsp baking soda
1/2 tsp salt
1and a half bags of Hershey Special Dark Chocolate Chips
1 3/4 cup sweetened coconut
1 3/4 cup sliced almonds
Preheat oven to 375 F
In a bowl mix dry ingredients and set aside
In a large bowl mix butter with both sugars to a cream. Next beat in each egg separately. Then add vanilla. Stir in the dry ingredients and mix well.
Next stir in the chocolate chips, coconut and almonds til thoroughly mixed.
Drop onto a lightly greased cookie sheet and bake for 8-10mins.
Serve wilk milk
