It reminds me (besides Bob Lazars Sport Model of course) the film “batteries not included”

May be in a future upgrade of the base you could add an electromagnet.
The goal of this electromagnet should be to produce an electromagnetic field which will slightly interact with the main magnetic field of the levitation base causing the model to slightly loose its stability.

Now by switching off and on the electromagnet via a circuit in low frequency you could have the model making the effect of a ufo who is flying near surface of a planet (I think Lazar describes it as the Omicron Configuration)
