I disagree with her stupidity first and foremost...

I know more than a few ATS members who are able to grasp and convey political issues at a much
higher level of understanding. I think the president should be more intelligent than the average person,
not less.

I disagree with her policy that would exalt the corporate model, yet again, creating minimum wage jobs
and increasing domestic consumerism is exactly the trend that is undermining the American economy.

Why? Tell me why. Why does it work for the UK and Canada?

Let's talk about in what way does it work for the UK and Canada? Long wait times for govt approved surgeries? People have been known to die while waiting. A higher tax base for everyone? Please tell me in what way are those health care systems working better than they have in the States?
Don't just say it works better. How about posting some real costs and real benefits instead of Democrat talking points.

First, if you even bothered to listen to the CSpan video I provided, you would hear her say she does not condone corporate welfare. So corporate schmorporate on you buddy.
You seem to be for elimination of corporations altogether, and not just the huge giants who quash the little guys. If you really sat down to think about what you are asking with that, it would mean there would be no mass production of anything. Are you looking for cars to be hand built again? And with what parts? Parts made by silversmiths and a fire? Could you at least try to be realistic here? Horse drawn buggy like our Fiddler on the Roof guy?

What exactly does it mean to be a big corporate conservative? Is Bill Gates a conservative? Did he not build one of the most giant corporations ever affecting people in almost every nation(even those remote bolivian places are getting technology now)? Is Bill Gates not one of Thee most liberal of corporates, a member of the Club of Rome elite, sporting vaccines in far away places to mass sterlize people as way to control population? I can't wait to hear your explanation of how George Soros is not a corporate entity.
Im waiting.

Nope nope nope, the stupidity thing resulted from the MSM attacks on her, and the hatred emanating from the liberals.

Comparing the ability of "more than a few ATS members who are able to grasp and convey political issues" to us here is beyond the pale of an absolute non-argument. Try again. You are just making personal attacks that have nothing to do with reason or understanding. You have not provided anything of substance yourself so pot meet kettle.

Specifically, what policy of hers exalts the corporate model more than oh, say Bill Gates, Al Gore, or George Soros, or ACORN, or Ted Turner or Google or AOL/Time Warner or GE or Chrysler? Just because Obama decided to nationalize the auto industry doesn't make it less corporate now does it? It doesn't make a large healthcare provider less corporate does it?

So you are really not talking about the "corporate model" are you? Are not the big Unions working for Big Corporations? You are talking about the Free enterprise model here aren't you? Just be honest because we all can see you are leftist in every post.

Occasionally I'm reminded that there are morons who support Sarah Palin everywhere.

Thank you for the reminder.

Here's a news item specifying just how great the UK is in dealing with healthcare.
Obese children are removed from their parents custody. This is likely the model Obama and Hillary are using. remember Hillary is for the Village raising your kids. That's what this is all about. It is just more statism, not providing better healthcare.

Four obese children are on the brink of being permanently removed from their family by social workers after their parents failed to bring their weight under control.
In the first case of its kind, their mother and father now face what they call the ‘unbearable’ likelihood of never seeing them again.
Their three daughters, aged 11, seven and one, and five-year-old son, will either be ‘fostered without contact’ or adopted.

Warned that the children must slim or be placed in care, the family spent two years living in a council-funded ‘Big Brother’ house in which they were constantly supervised and the food they ate monitored.

www.dailymail.co.uk...

This is being discussed now in a major thread on ATS.

We need something different for sure. But then that's what everybody thought when they installed current POTUS. Maybe GOP is riding it out knowning he can't go a third term.

And who would be the star of the Democrats next time? Dean? Gore? Hillary?Dean is Socialist party too I was reading some stuff about his ties to Socialist party. Everyone the Dems come up with is Marxist/socialist.

Please take this in the spirit in which it is offered.

I don't disagree with your post, in fact I starred it. I have to question the focus, however.

I spent a sizable portion of my reckless and misspent youth actively trying to kill marxists, socialists, communists, etc. I don't say that for a pat on the back - it was what it was - but rather to show that I'm really no fanboy of the philosophy, even to this day, and to demonstrate that what I'm about to say isn't said lightly.

There is no real difference between them and the neocons, other than who gets to control the purse strings, and so the masses. No real difference regarding actual freedom or liberty at all, only in economic philosophy, which dictates who owns you and I - a government, a corporation, or some hybrid of the two.

BOTH want an overbearing, overpowering government, all the better to control us with. Personally, I don't care who pulls the purse strings. if it's not me, then it's a tyranny, a centralized, octopus-like tyranny. It really matters not at all from the trenches just who is directing it - it only matters that it is no US doing so.

Marxism, socialism, communism, fascism... ALL of the "isms" to date are exactly the same thing from down here where we stand - a group of "others" whose sole desire in life is to own and control US, for THEIR own benefit, not ours.

Marxists say that the economic shots should be called by a central planning agent in government, and that an overbearing government is needed to keep us in line. Fascists say that the economic shots should be called by a central planning agent on Wall Street, and that an overbearing government is needed to keep us in line.

Down here at street level, the view of either is exactly the same. The common denominator is a planned economy, and an overbearing government, neither of which benefits you or I. The solution is a decentralized economy, and a severe reduction in government. Anything else, from either side, is just begging for slavery.

It doesn't matter WHO the Repulicrats or the Demicans pick to run - they're ALL playing for the same team, and it ain't ours.

Thank you for your post. I think it was very nicely thought out and eloquently written. It has a lot of substance in my view. And I agree with really everything you say. While I reserve that there are still differences in the socialism vs capitalism models, both the left and the right do seem to be veering towards a collective control of the populace. It is Statism which I abhor so deeply. I am not an anarchist by any means. I believe in limited govt, like most of the Tea Partiers. That is why I am Tea Party, because I am just as mad (amost) at repubs as I am democrats. I also feel that it is the elites vs us. Thanks for that. Sarah Palin did mention in that CSpan vid that the elites seem to always become wealthy after entering the political sphere in Washington. She called it "Crony Capitalism". The difference though between her view and a leftist view is that leftists hate Capitalism in general, while conservatives view cronyism as an abuse of the free market.

Like people who claim MSNBC is guilty of fraud and lies without any kind of source? Me too.

There goes another one.
Tell me something. How do you stereotype one particular woman like Sarah? I am still confused about that. Do you think that the only people that have heard her speak and heard what she stands for are the people that support her and everyone else is just an ignorant rube?

Before you start annoying me to the T&C point, why not describe her policy positions that you disagree with.

Unless you just want to hate and are a bigot/racist/sexist.

Please provide sources.

Really?? Playing the racist/sexist card for what? Because it's habit?? I didn't see anything in that post that was racist or sexist in nature. Why don't you knock it off with the race card already? It is getting OLD.

You're always typing some bs like this. If what you say is true then why are conservatives always the biggest distorters of the market?

From bailouts, to forced credit expansion, protectionism, monetary stimulus, govt work programs [wars], more regulations, increasing the size of govt and its spending, etc.

It seems to me that conservatives don't support the free market at all, but rather they only support big business.......
