It seems that after Sarah promoted drillilng in Alaska, Prez Obama decided to go for it. Only, he refused to give her credit for the inspiration.
What's really funny about this, is the blogger here is obviously anti-Palin and appears to be angry that she had so much power to influence the Prez

The president’s announcement, which included plans for expanded drilling in Alaska demonstrate[s] his commitment to reducing oil imports by increasing domestic production…Mr. Obama said the administration would begin to hold annual auctions for oil and gas leases in the Alaska National Petroleum Reserve, a 23-million-acre tract on the North Slope of Alaska. The move comes after years of demands for the auctions by industry executives and Alaska’s two senators, Lisa Murkowski, a Republican, and Mark Begich, a Democrat.

In crediting Murkowski and Begich for the policy change, The New York Times omitted the name of Sarah Palin, who’s been screaming about this for at least as long and even more loudly than have Alaska’s two U.S. senators.

Wow. That totally changes all the things we were actually discussing like the Paul Revere nonsense and her movie.

i was a steamboat gunslinger for a few years, black powder weapons.

we did wild west shows for tourists.

needed a place to load them.

but hey, don't mean it can't be done on horseback or he stopped and reloaded.

i ride, shoot and can talk on my cell at the same time. but no one has said what weapon he was shooting.

he had 1 shot on horseback, granted if it was a rifle till he could reload.

so if you can produce the gun and the bell, i will denounce my citizenship and move in with you.

bells were from the churches, all this going on like an air raid alarm in the cold war.

oh cmon Kiti, why are you going through these gyrations? You said you were glad I READ SOMETHING! That was an obvious smackdown.
Take responsbility at least for the snotty slurs you post.

This entire discussion has been around how liberals and Sarah haters keep screaming about how unintelligent Sarah and her supporters are. I just thought I would clear it up for you. So again, let's see your reading list. If you post nothing, I will take it that you have nothing to list.

Kiti, did you not just complain I don't give any credible points in Sarah's defense? You do not see the corellary between Sarah promoting drilling in Alaska and Obama changing his mind? The MSM won't give credit where credit is due, but even her detractors manage to give her credit accidentally while trying to diss her.

Here's something else

“The president said he’ll ‘consider potential areas for development in the mid- and south Atlantic and the Gulf of Mexico, while studying and protecting sensitive areas in the Arctic.’” Palin wrote.

As the former governor of one of America’s largest energy-producing states, a state oil and gas commissioner and chair of the nation’s Interstate Oil and Gas Conservation Commission, I’ve seen plenty of such studies. What we need is action — action that results in the job growth and revenue that a robust drilling policy could provide. And let’s not forget that while Interior Department bureaucrats continue to hold up actual offshore drilling from taking place, Russia is moving full steam ahead on Arctic drilling, and China, Russia and Venezuela are buying leases off the coast of Cuba. ...

www.politico.com...

I am still waiting to hear you say anything that approaches that level of analysis.

President Obama opens offshore oil drilling and exploration - with Sarah Palin's approval

BY MICHAEL MCAULIFF AND KENNETH R. BAZINET

DAILY NEWS WASHINGTON BUREAU

Wednesday, March 31, 2010

WASHINGTON - President Obama finally agrees on something with Sarah Palin: Drill, baby, drill.

Obama plans to open up parts of the Atlantic coast - from Florida to Virginia - for offshore oil and natural gas drilling, ending a 20-year ban.

He went left to win health care reform, now he's moving up the middle on energy - and he may have to tackle a few angry environmentalists and local legislators along the way

What's wrong with being pro-America? Oh again you are left leaning. Amazing the things you pick which you find bad. Wow, she could have toured the country repeating over and over "Yes we can" and telling us that a llight would shine on us and we would have to vote for (barack)....

Did you like my speech

Those things are called platitudes, they are fairly universal things that apply to everyone.

People calm down, I am going to predict that Ms, Palin will be running for president not in 2012 but the next elections after that, if her backers can keep the support and momentum she has gained since the last elections in 2008

Now this will cost a lot of money so please keep an eye on her financial donors.

This will sure make happy her followers.

yes, Janky, I can see your point. It is why many of us thought BO disingenuous with his "Yes We Can" catchall phrase.
Picture yourself on a campaign platform, standing before a large audience and you want to deliver a message that most of them can appreciate and you have a certain amount of time. What are you going to say to that audience to reach most of them? Are you going to go into a complicated economic analysis and risk them falling asleep right on their feet?
Rallies are just that! They are designed to whip up positive energy.
I believe that the values at the core of each of them is quite different. When someone says "spread the wealth" we know what he means. He means I want to put my hand in your pocket, take out your money and give it to somebody else I have just decided deserves it. That is Marxism. That is the core value of just about everything BO does. Usually the money ends up in his crony friends pockets.
It is really interesting how some people perceive him as being centrist, when he is the most radically left of any Prez since FDR. Any time he does anything remotely centrist, they scream that he is just like Bush and the NEOCONS.
It is equally interesting to see people make similar claims about Sarah.
I hear two inconsistent things coming out of the left camp. One is that BO is Bush II, and the other is that Sarah is too far right, and yet somehow all T Partiers are nothing but NEOCONS. Let us be clear, NEOCON Is not a catch phrase meaning all Republicans. NEOCON is a term coined by a Socialist to denote someone who had been on the Left but has switched to the Right. This would mean that that individual necessarily started out with Leftist ideals, and somehow decided to switch parties.
NEO means partial. Sooo Partially conservative, how does that sound?
But let's look at this from the viewpoint of Hegelianism and the NWO.
Politicians on both the left and the right have their pet projects. For the Right it usually revolves more around defense. For the Left it's entitlements.
Considering the recent ATF scandal, I would put that under the heading of defense really, as it involves armaments, but it's not for the "common defence" as stated in Article 1 Section 8. At least it doesn't appear to be, at least directly. What was the purpose of the gun running? You could argue it was to make money for CIA operations. ATF isn't under the CIA heading is it? Seems a bit shaky if you ask me.
While we know that private bankers and industrialists have classically funded Bolshevism or Nazism, we know that the State itself often funds shady groups and projects. They use public money to do so. Then the left turns around and screams that it's all because of private interests.
The UN calls all this activity "public-private" partnerships. So whatever we try and call it, it's the teaming up of government with private entities.
Now, let's look at the most recent of financial activities of private individuals funding various organizations.
George Soros. The list of organizations he supports with his billions is huge. And they are all classified as having leftist or liberal causes. They all deal with some type of community organizing designed to help the left leaning, whether it's to pay for atty fees for illegals or scurrilous people acting against the sovereignty of the US, or whether its ACORN, designed to get left leaning Democrats elected. Media Matters is one such organization Soros money goes to.
Here's a list of orgs Soros donates to
www.discoverthenetworks.org...

We know that Soros funded BOs campaign. We know he also funded McCain's as well. Does that make Sarah suspect? She may not have even known at the time. While we are on that subject, a lot of T Partiers were mad at her for supporting McCain after the election was over.
So back to catch phrases.
I believe that the core values behind Sarah are ones that pro America people relate to, and that is what is conveyed in her messages.
there seems to be two major opposing themes
spread the wealth or free enterprise and hard work

Even Michelle O put it into a simple theme with her pie analogy... GIve other people your pie. A simple way to promote Marxism.

What has Obama really said outside the campaign trail? Even since hes been POTUS? He has blamed Bush, and then he blamed Bush some more, and then he blamed Republicans. He has continued with his rhetoric over and over. Interestingly, even Bush's speeches rate higher on the Flesch-Kincaid scale than Obama.

blog.lib.umn.edu...

However, a Smart Politics analysis of nearly 70 oral State of the Union Addresses since the mid-1930s finds the text of Obama's speech on Wednesday evening to have one of the lowest scores on the Flesch-Kincaid readability test ever recorded by a U.S. President.
The Flesch-Kincaid test is designed to assess the readability level of written text, with a formula that translates the score to a U.S. grade level. Longer sentences and sentences utilizing words with more syllables produce higher scores. Shorter sentences and sentences incorporating more monosyllabic words yield lower scores.

What this means is that Obama wrote and delivered a speech that incorporated shorter sentences, with those sentences containing shorter words, than nearly every such Presidential Address in the modern era.

President Obama's comparative brevity in his sentence structure and his frequent use of monosyllabic words can be seen in the following excerpts from his Address:
"Again, we are tested. And again, we must answer history's call."

"Now, let me repeat: We cut taxes. We cut taxes for 95 percent of working families. We cut taxes for small businesses. We cut taxes for first-time homebuyers. We cut taxes for parents trying to care for their children. We cut taxes for 8 million Americans paying for college."
"We have finished a difficult year. We have come through a difficult decade. But a new year has come. A new decade stretches before us. We don't quit. I don't quit."

One wonders why he has chosen to speak at that level. Who is he speaking to?

As comparison, while BO scored at 8th grade level, JFK scored at 12.0, and FDR came in at 11.4

Speaking of speech patterns, I do have to make a correction to a previous post

Corellary should be corollary

I was too tired last night.

Kiti, why must you always resort to this kind of ad hominem attack? Have you noticed the email sent out to ATS members regarding this issue?

Oh yes, absolutely! The environmentalists are a big part of BOs base. This is probably the main reason why we see him raking the coals over the coal mines, pun intended. It is scary that those who purport to be concerned with toxic waste and energy conservation would actually promote a product containing toxic mercury which would fill the landfills, plus there's that toxic cleanup you mentioned.

Overall, this is good news for Palin, as her writing was found to be better than some CEOs’. The New York Daily News sheds further light on her abilities:
It turns out Palin’s writing skills are still better than most educated Americans. Global Language Monitor gave Palin’s emails a score of 8.2, which actually exceeds that of most chief executives.
“She’s very concise. She gives clear orders. Her sentences and punctuations are logical,” said Paul Payack, president of Global Language Monitor. “She has much more of a disciplined mind than she’s given credit for.”
