Oh Sarah, you tease!

Baited breathe, we waited. All for naught.
A lack-luster rank and file bunch of GOP hopefuls have populated the landscape lately. Many were looking for that dark horse candidate to stomp on the liberal-progressive machine that has been driving our economy into ditch after ditch after ditch for the last three years.
Was Palin to be the One?

Many would say no. Her abrupt departure from Alaskan politics left many with a bad taste in their mouths. After a 47 - 53 loss to the Obama-Biden machine, Palin seemed happy to illustrate what real conservatives were all about.
"Don't retreat, just reload" became a common saying from her reality tv show.
As months rolled by and the bland cast of characters filled the scenes, Palin fans and enemies alike, looked forward to the conservative lightning rod to emerge.
Her latest appearence, however, was just more tease.

ABC News’ Sheila Marikar reports:

Sarah Palin’s Iowa speech sounded a lot like a stump speech.

She made frequent references to “my plan” — “My plan is a bonified working man’s plan, my plan is about empowerment.”

Her mention of the “challenge of who and what will replace” Obama brought the crowd to their feet.

She also threw in a few “Palinisms”:

About polls, she said, “they’re for strippers and cross country skiers.”

She dubbed the president’s handling of the economy as “Obama’s bullet train to bankruptcy.”

It seemed like she was about to announce something.

But she did not.

She thanked Iowa and walked off stage a few minutes ago.

I, for one, wouldn't want to guess on what her presidency would be like. Without her announcing, speculation will have to remain.
But how long can she string us along, her detractors and fans, before we tire of the tease?

I think she has found she can stir up more passion and excitement by being on the outskirts of the Establishment. Establishment GOP after all did not support her. They threw her to the wolves because they consider her an outsider and she's not CFR. It is also interesting to note how even people on this site diss her, though she is not of the Elite.

I don't know what kind of POTUS she would be.

None of us can.

But she would stir the pot, create debate, and maybe give a shock to the tepid political climate that we face now. Se'd be a lightning rod for any and every issue. And maybe, just maybe, something positive could come of it.

Apologies. I just wish that someone would rattle some cages! Sure, we have Paul, but his song hasn't changed in years. And while he speaks truth, sometimes a jump start is needed.

We need something different for sure. But then that's what everybody thought when they installed current POTUS. Maybe GOP is riding it out knowning he can't go a third term.


And who would be the star of the Democrats next time? Dean? Gore? Hillary?Dean is Socialist party too I was reading some stuff about his ties to Socialist party. Everyone the Dems come up with is Marxist/socialist.

Oh yeah I agree with people needing to rattle those cages , I've seen people insult Palin and then turn around and have full support in Obama/Bush, but IMO almost every politician is a bit dull and seems to only to be saying stuff to get a nice check...except Hilary Clinton, that lady is scary smart.

May not agree on her views, but she's brilliant

Hillary interned for a Marxist. she is more of Obama. She proposed socialised healthcare before Obama did. It's just what's on the socialist plate. Whoever is Democrat will do whatever is on the agenda of the Socialist Party. They have truly captured the Democrat Party.

She calls herself Progressive! Who can argue with that!

Palin is just so nifty with the one-liners, isn't she? I personally don't think that is in itself indicative of a good, alternative governance quality - in our day and age, it may get you elected. But it sure won't solve problems.

I think that's equally why many are attracted to her initial message - and are just as convinced she would be a poor choice after "kicking the tires and checking under the hood" so to speak. She reminds me of the entertainers who get a crowd ready for the main event - gets people pumped up, but then needs to hand off to the main attraction. Just my opinion.

I don't usually post in here, how ever my opinion of Sarah Palin is that she should stay out of politics on the grounds of a low iq and lack of political skills.
She is not a states woman, and if she were ever to become an American president, it would be a disaster
for all. It would also clearly show that the American presidency has become nothing more than a figure head.

Yes, you get it. She is a celebrity, not a wise or intelligent person. If the average high school drop out went on the TV show Jeopardy to compete against her, Sarah Palin would go down like a cheap hooker.

She may sound line a "teaser" to you but her background and political pushers are well known.
