Here is mine, I don't have alot of money so ill have to make due with what I got. Although some of them old millitary 6x6 look like they would work good, Extreme 4x4 on spike made one a 4x4,pretty sweet! Anyway it gets around pertty good, and can carry a fair amount of cargo. A couple machine guns and some armor and I will be set! I got an extra fuel tank for the bed yet to be installed.
89 Chevy K1500 SCSB.

The extreme 4x4 Converted Bobbed Deuce 6x6 they made out of an old millitary firetruck. drool

like all things - it depends on :

where you are bugging from

why you are bugging out

where you are bugging too

All these armored beasts are fantastic and all,but for me I would use this to bug out:

Lightweight, low vibration and radar sigs, can go more"off road"than most of those armored chaps,in almost Silence, costs a bucket load less, and I can maintain and repair every part myself in the harshest of conditions with a small light toolkit.
A ride across the fields and through the woods, and I am at my nearest forest cache of food and supplies.

If it hits the fan-do not get stuck with an APC with a busted drive shaft/stuck in a ditch.
And what about running out of fuel/oil?
All my bike needs is some oil on the chain etc,and at a push that can be made over the camp fire, with animal fat.

Got to think light and fast I think.

those are some big heavy vehicles good for combat or supplying a group

for me i like to keep it simple and lite if you're bugging out you need to be able to depend on your ride, move out fast with only the bare necessities.

a horse with a pack is the only way to go.
something right out of the movie jonah hex.

Best of luck when you hit a less than solid road. I'm sure the winch will work for a time but after a while it will become apparent that walking is actually faster.

I like the part where he says "The Toyota made if further than that." and "If he gets stuck who's gonna pull him out?"

My choice, if I could afford one.

That 1st vid is an Army 6x6 "duece and a half" 2 1/2 ton truck...its a piece of crap.....My radio gear was carried on one while I was in the Army in the 70's...Ive gotten them stuck in snow, water, mud, you name it....and the stuff wasnt deep either....I got one stuck in snow only 12 inches deep,no joke...I wouldnt trust my Bug-Out ability to one of those pieces of junk on a bet....anything mechanical will draw fire...unless you HAVE to drive to get to a location many many miles away,Id plan on walking...
