Hmm do you actually realise how physically big China is?
It's the 3rd largest county by area in the world, China has plenty of space to house their population even if does have the largest population.
China extends its influence by it's business dealings which is why lots of African country and Brazil have been flooded with Chinese investment........China profits from the raw materials and the recipient counties benefit by having infrastructure like roads and bridges built along with Chinese goods and technology.
China isn't extending it's influence over the globe by grabbing territory but by grabbing oversea business.

If you really think China is on the brink of attacking the US then you really having understood the dynamics of the current Sino US relationship.
