If the people of libya were as content and well looked after by their great leader 'as the video
portrays' the revolts that began in the early days of this conflict would have been put down by
mass counter protests and violence in defence of gadaffi, that we never saw an outpouring
of such support for him speaks volumes.. The people of libya seemed content to sit passively
and allow the rebels a free hand to depose the regime. Revolutions do not work without popular
consent, regardless of whether you have nato helping out or not.. The idea that gadaffi was a
good leader well loved by his people is absurd

If he is such a great guy, why have a population of 6 million people allowed a few thousand
fighters to remove him from power?

They haven't. NATO has armed, financed and trained a small rebel group - many of which are known Al Qaeda operatives. They have also brought in more merceneries from Qatar.

The MO has been that NATO has pulverised towns and villages in order to open a road for the so-called rebels, then the rebels arrive in their trucks waving their rifles in the air and do photoshoots and engage with the local people who are fighting back.

The same rebels freed 600 suspected terrorists, many of them Al Qaeda, when they got to Tripoli.

The NATO forces know this and are financing them, arming them, training them and through massive bombing of civilian targets are suppressing the Libyan people and opening up the routes for the rag tag rebels.

Check out the reports from independent journalists from many different countries. They have been reporting the facts and as a result, undercover US agents, masquerading as journalists for mainstream US media stations, have issued death threats to these independent journalists. There are a number of videos on youtube where these journalists testify to this.

People need to understand the MASSIVE EXTENT of the deception and lies which has gone on here.

A known Al Qaeda asset, a man who was listed as a terrorist in the US, who the CIA had arrested and tortured in the past, has now also been put in charge of the new military in Libya.

Gaddafi wanted to unite Africa and reduce Western Influence and exploitation. The West didn't like that as Gaddafi's policies would be a massive threat to their multi-national corporations, hence they made up some lies to sell to the world and attacked Libya under the guise of a "humanitarian invasion".

I hope this explains NATO's true intentions.

Again, not about the TOPIC at hand, what has this 'story' above have to do with what i replied to you?

Not going to reply to a person who goes off-topic in his self created thread.

Even if her story was true, it would be literally impossible to prove it because CNN reports with an agenda.

A classic example is the Torture which takes place in Guantanamo Bay which the US Government and the mainstream media is extremely quiet about. LINK

Shouldn't the US Government be tried for War Crimes as well under the pretext of humanitarian intervention?

Seriously, WTF is wrong with you?

I already told you that NATO purposely made up some lies about Libya's supposed "human rights abuses" to justify invasion. How hard is that to believe?

If you have a better explanation then please, share it with us...

Even after all the lies the mainstream media has reported, you still believe them?

Most likely, the Rebels poured boiling water on her head and she is now being paraded by the Mainstream Media because naturally the majority of people will buy this BS of a story.

They interviewed her mate. These words came out of her own mouth, not anybody elses.

World Report 2011: Libya
Government control and repression of civil society remain the norm in Libya, with little progress made on promised human rights reforms. While releases of large numbers of Islamist prisoners continued, 2010 saw stagnation on key issues such as penal code reform, freedom of association, and accountability for the Abu Salim prison massacre in 1996.

Libya maintains harsh restrictions on freedom of assembly and expression, including penal code provisions that criminalize "insulting public officials" or "opposing the ideology of the Revolution," although there has been slightly more media debate in recent years, particularly online.

The only way we can stop this is by mass awareness and protests. Its unlikely many people will ever know the truth because of the disinfo campaign on Facebook, Twitter, YouTube and the media, but atleast we tried.

So first the UN praises Libya for its human rights track record on 4th January 2011, and then changes its stance completely on 1st march 2011 by kicking Libya out of the Human rights council?

Jeez, they were desperate as hell!

I'll admit there is the possibility of what you suggest - but what IF her story was correct? What IF she was actually tortured by Gaddafi's sons' wife? Imagine being her, and other people who have never even been to Libya start parroting on about how she is lying and how the MSM is using her? How would you feel in her position?

If My spouse abused someOne...would You blame Me?

Just sayin' that just because a spouse behaves poorly One cannot conclude that this behavior extends to the One being examined. If the abuse occurred, Gaddafi may not even have KNOWN about it. We cannot assume that because One is abusive it follows that the spouse is, too.

It would take someone completely blind not to see a housemaid with third-degree burns walking around trying to look after your children while attempting to keep what skin she has left clinging to her head and body.

I did but couldn't read further because most of the "suggestions and improvements" were a bunch of BS:

95.18. Conform to the provisions of article 6 of the International Covenant on
Civil and Political Rights, and move towards a moratorium on executions with
a view to considering the definite abolition of the death penalty (France);

95.19. Commute all existing death sentences and establish a moratorium on the use of the death penalty as a step towards its abolition, as declared in the Great Green Charter of Human Rights in the Jamahiriyan Era (United Kingdom);

95.20. Abolish the death penalty and, in any event, establish a moratorium as an interim measure towards full abolition (Australia);

Abolish the Death Penalty? REALLY????

Please...thats just too much

Link

Looks like half the countries in the world (including the USA) could be seeing a "humanitarian intervention" soon.

You haven't grasped the point of this thread yet, because you still believe the lies told about Libya before the NATO invasion.

More than 1 million LIbyans in massive Anti-Nato protest in Libya - July, 2011

The population of Tripoli is approximately 1.5 million. The population of LIbya is approximatley 5 million. In this protest alone, therefore, at least one fifth of the population was out in the streets.
