We're all aware of Hurricane Irene and the high amount of rain dumped on the east coast this weekend. Well, here's a short video of what NOT to do in the aftermath of such a storm.

For anyone not familiar with it, the Merrimack River is a river with very strong currents in normal times. After an Irene it is extremely dangerous. It flows through New Hampshire.

Here's an idiot that decided to go jet skiing with his 2 young daughters in the fast moving, rain swollen river, and the rescue that entailed. He must've been drunk.

Had they not been able to hold on, they would have been swept over the falls right below where the spot they were rescued.

This guy should face child endangerment charges.

How very providential that the girls were able to grab the buoy line and hold on!

I've boated/fished the mouth of the river where it dumps into the ocean. Currents were unbelievable.
