Christ of the Abyss (Italian: "Il Cristo degli Abissi") is a submerged bronze statue of Jesus, located in the Mediterranean Sea off San Fruttuoso between Camogli and Portofino on the Italian Riviera. It was placed in the water on 22 August 1954 at approximately 17 metres depth, and stands c. 2.5 metres tall.

No conspiracy here, just something I found interesting and eerily beautiful. Apparently a placed bronze statue in the med near the spot where one of the first Italian divers died, a fitting tribute no doubt.

Looking at the image, fish aside, it's almost looks like Jesus is opening his hands up to his father and the heavens are opening.

Just thought I'd share.
