Many states have sued the Government and the FDA to allow "cheaper" medication from Canada to enter the US.

Here is my question: Are these drugs manufactured by US companies in Canada, or are the Canadian generic drugs imported.? If they are US based drugs, why are they cheaper from Canada? If they are Canadian drugs, wouldn't this take away American jobs.

I have no political opinion on this, I am simply looking for information.

If I'm reading your post correctly, it states that while many drugs imported are cheaper, it is only because the higher priced American drugs pay for the Research and Developement necessary to produce these drugs in the first place.

Also, it seems that the objection to Canadian imported drugs isn't based on the drugs manufactured in Canada, but the drugs imorted to Canada from third world countries and not regulated by Canadian or American authorities.
