Oh, and btw, I'm super impressed that you make more than minimum wage.

You are?

Well thanks Michigas.

I've had one week of vacation the last 4 years. You are so kind.

Please, David, don't play these kid games of "CALL THEM ALL SOCIALISTS" with me. You're just trying to deflect the attention away from yourself and avoid answering the questions posed to you.

Deflect attention??????????

I don't care what you call me...SAY WHATEVER YOU WANT.

Now...are you willing to call anyone I stated on any government program a socialist?

Answer my questions on minimum wage and national sales tax. My opinions on whatever you're driving at are irrelevant.

That's insane? Weren't you the one recently advocating a National Sales Tax for consumers that buy goods not made in America?

Aren't yo one of those who say if we tax corporations they will increase prices on consumers?

what is your point exactly?

And yes, I stand by what I said 100 percent...1000000000000 percent.

Don't care what you think of me....don't care what you believe or how you feel about me.

So what? Let them leave. Who is buying their foreign made, slave labor crap? You?

And your support for minimum wage is crazy. Why not just make it $30/hr or so, if you're such a Robbin' Hood? What's the point of paying someone $7 - $8 an hour?

The point would be so that they can actually afford to function in society. You seem gravely unaware that in order for anyone to make money, there needs to be customers with money to offer.

I'll tell you why. Because it allows you to condemn those who look at it as the stupid idea it is, and promotes your class warfare, working man's hero image you want to project.

Michelle Bachman forcing me to pay for her farm that she does not share the profits of with me all while trying to blame some poor mother who can barely feed her kids for sucking off the government teat is what is creating class warfare. You say the evil poor people are taking all the money. Where are all these rich poor people then? Michelle Bachman takes my money and she is rich. Who should I have a bigger problem with? The person using my money to feed their kids or the the person using my money to further enrich themselves?

The minimum wage should be $100/ hr. It's only fair. After all, those filthy rich, greedy employers have the money, and I need it. They should also be forced to pay 100% of any healthcare costs I incur. Health care is a right, don't you know? Now you might say, maybe the employer can't afford that. Well somebody better damn sure pay for it, 'cuz I'm not paying for my own crap!!!

And if a company can't afford it, then the government should just take over the company. That way they can actually create jobs here, rather than overseas. That's the FAIR way.

How do you guys use this line with a straight face ever?
Let them pass the price along to the consumer. I do not need to consume the things you make. If the price goes up, I stop buying. You are telling us that we should all chip in so the price of something YOU want stays low for you.

That is called socialism for loss.

Most of you guys are for that kind of socialism. Capitalism in my pocket, socialism in yours. Got it.

You obviously make enough to live on plus some. Trust me I understand what you are saying, but I think you are missing one point. That point is those making minimum wage do not actually benefit from a wage increase if the prices rise for basic necessities. You can say all day long you stop buying stuff if the prices go up, but try stopping to buy stuff when all the money you spend or have goes to costs of living. If you make enough plus some you have that ability to not buy. But when every dollar you make is spent on rent, gas, insurance, food, electricity, school supplies for your kids, and keeping a internet and phone on then really there is not much room to cut back. I have been down and out before and tried to cut back on telephone, internet, cable, etc. Of course they get you if you cut back, and you end up paying more for a single service or almost just as much for all the services. I have eaten Ramen noodles to get by and my health deteriorates.

You sound very accusatory and ideological. This country has aspects of socialism since its founding. I think many confuse socialism with communism. Yet, those same people refer to our system as capitalism when in reality it is a corporate fascism. Pure capitalism is dangerous, just as pure socialism is. Especially when ran by centralized government.

Wel, hell, since you NEED it, that makes it perfectly OK for you to TAKE it, I guess.

And I suppose you'll create those jobs by imposing tariffs, eh? When you get done extorting money from us, you can extort it from other nations. Don't worry, nobody will notice.

Excellent sarcasm.

Minimum wage: If I could pay you less, I would.

WAGES ARE A LOSS TO PROFITS...again...that's all some care about. It's not really about just being successful and paying their workers as much as possible, it's all about greed and hording all they can.

Not only will those who make minimum wage make less...this will also drive down the wages of damned near everyone else as the minimum wage buffer will be eliminated.

You are a definite socialist, David. What fantasy world do you live in, where employers are " paying their workers as much as possible"?

NEEEXXT!

David was the guy who worked tirelessly to make Ron Paul known to ATS, well before Paul was the popular figure he is today. David is a definite is populist, you are the fringe ideologue, mishigas.

You're the reason employers flee the country to get cheaper labor.

No, American labor CANNOT undercut the margin of a labor force in a third world economy, without
debasing its standard labor rate to a similar margin. The only way we can complete with China
is by ensuring American labor is devalued by multiples, similar to Chinese wages.

You're the reason employers flee the country to get cheaper labor

NO, it is a simple matter of labor and overhead

And your support for minimum wage is crazy. Why not just make it $30/hr or so, if you're such a Robbin' Hood? What's the point of paying someone $7 - $8 an hour?

Why not just ensure that people get paid $9.00 a day like in the East, or down south?

Do you want a prosperous America or a poverty stricken one?

I'll tell you why. Because it allows you to condemn those who look at it as the stupid idea it is, and promotes your class warfare, working man's hero image you want to project.

NO, BULL, that is you idea from your head, you are projecting onto David.

David does care about the working man, haven't you read his posts? Just like you
guys care for the corporations and the rich,,, David cares for the average families that
are having a hard time right now.

you can't handle it so you try to make him look bad.

No hate or spite here. The fact is, David is unable to answer any questions posed to him, so he always tries to make the thread ad hominem. Either he attacks his questioner or cries for pity. The fact is, I couldn't care less when his last vacation was. If he's sooo tired, let him get a different job.

I worked a minimum Wage job at taco bell for the summer to help out my family and have a little extra cash in my pocket. I learned how quickly money comes and goes, how to save and never trust a bank who's willing to steal the last 50$ out of your account.

It was a learning experience and thats what it should be. No adult should have to work a minimum wage job and there were ones there at taco bell because when the economy crashed and had no where to turn. I left the place so I could move away from my problems and get a education and get a opportunity at a better life. You know, grow up and move on and all that bull. I always viewed minimum wage jobs for those without the skills or eduction(what we should be providing people), teens and the like to work at and learn responsibility, then to grow up and move to greener pastures and let the next generation fill in the gap.

Thats how I think it should work anyways but I haven't researched into the subject or how wage hiking effects the economy yet so I won't bother getting into that.

So .02$ and food for thought and all that. Thanks for listing!

Yes I was...because it will create jobs. It's a tariff... just like we used to have for most of this country's existence. A TARIFF is a National sales tax on imports.

I notice you said tax ourselves, not corps. Wonderful.

yes, I stated it this way to think like you Michigas. If we taxed corporations, they will just raise the price on us. That's your forte correct?

You are a definite socialist, David. What fantasy world do you live in, where employers are " paying their workers as much as possible"?

I am? That's great...I'll add that to list. Been called everything all along the political spectrum. I don't believe i'm anything ideologically. I used to succumb myself to it, like you do.

And the more an employee makes, the more they will spend and put back into the economy....therefore continuing demand. I a good employer will pay as much as they can....not pay as little as they can.
