I'm watching hurricanetrack right now, pretty wild!

Too bad the framerate isn't so great, audio is great though.

We seem to be getting hammered by one of the outer bands of rain here in Fla. A little riverlet has formed in a low spot in my back yard, which always happens in these flash flood scenarios. Oh by the way, if you can't find sandbags, large bags of soil can help. I did that during Frances in my back garden area where there was a buildup of water in the corner. A guy at the Wal Mart lawn center told me about that.

Hopefully it doesn't do too much damage, the tracker I have been watching seems to show it is weakening.
Still sustained 85 MPH winds, not exactly kite weather!

The streets around my neighborhood are completely flooded. Another foot and it will pour into the basement. Were just past high tide. I think well make it.

I often wonder why these bloody clown reporters stand out there when every other 'citizen" is advised to leave. Of course.......they're there to report the news, aren't they.???
Were anything to happen to him, he'd be the first to sue.

Personally, I think a few of them have "illusions of grandeur".

Why do people think hurricanes are overhyped.If the thing comes in at catgory 3 or higher and you in the eye wall direct hit your gonna get wiped out everytime if your house is not good.Anything under category 3 usualy is a terrible flooding event for some people.New Orleans was warned and it happened.New York may have some flooding issues Irene.But if New York took a direct hit from a catgory 4 or 5,which is possible people,it would be major catastrophic.

NO, it is NOT possible.

It is currently a Category 1, degrading into a Tropical Storm as it moves North. The difference between a TS and a Cat 4-5 is so massive that they would evacuate entire states if this was the case. PLEASE stop fear mongering like this, it does no good at all.

For those of you who stayed up all night (or enjoyed his live feed), here are his vid's, if your interested. I know there were many of us here on ATS who laughed our a$$ off together all night, instead of sleeping. Enjoy!
