It is going to takeawhile to skim this thread again, butI justfeeltheneed to do it. I don't know why.


Any idea what you may be looking foyr? I have a pretty good remembery (as my wife calls it) and can usually find what I'm looking for in a thread, especially if I've contributed at all to that thread.

I will say that there seems to be a bit more 'snark' in the air and people who are usually healthy coming down with odd ailments. Connected? Who's to say, but it's only by seeking out the apparently innocuous and tying it in with a larger pattern.

Keep sharing observations and our collective wisdom will grow.

Wisdom is the management of knowledge. Its not what you know that's important, you can always add to what you know. It's what you do with what you know thab produces the results.

Thanks JaC. I didn't know what brought me here, I just felt like I needed to revisit this thread. I actually think that WC answered my search by recommending the experiment thread. I am looking for answers on why I suddenly feel the need to search for answers. (I know that sounds weird)

I honestly am not comfortable speaking of my gut feelings because I so very rarely have any. For the last few days though, if I think of a quake happening on the west coast, I physically break out into a sweat. The doc said the pressure in my head is more than likely stress instead of sinus. However, the only stress I have is when I think of a big quake on the west coast.


The strange thing is, I don't even know why I feel so obsessed. I have always loved humanity and care for other people with all of my heart, but I don't know anyone personally on the west coast at this time. It is like I am trying to save the human race but don't know how, and who to start with. (I know I can't stop an earthquake or predict it. It just feels like watching a car sitting on the train tracks and hearing the horn blaring not far away.)

I know I sound like I might need a straight jacket at this point. I am WAAYY of topic from the original OP but, we always did stray a little didn't we. Unfortunately, I have only been looking at quakes for under a year now and don't even know the kindergarten level stuff yet.

As I type this my ears are starting to develop a sharp pain low down by my jaw. This is bringing me back full circle. I came here remembering people saying that they had pressure in the head and ringing ears. I didn't know if it was this thread or another but I think WC pointed me in the right direction.

Everything happens for a reason right?

I was at that site earlier today.

Two 3.5 mags at Crockett in the same place - one yesterday, one today.

Not saying his forecast was correct but he was pretty close.

Some things to look at when a earthquake happens.
Has to do with how earthquakes work ,how they slip,and different scenarios.


Seismologists refer to the direction of slip in an earthquake and the orientation of the fault on which it occurs as the focal mechanism. They use information from seismograms to calculate the focal mechanism and typically display it on maps as a "beach ball" symbol. This symbol is the projection on a horizontal plane of the lower half of an imaginary, spherical shell (focal sphere) surrounding the earthquake source (A). A line is scribed where the fault plane intersects the shell. The stress-field orientation at the time of rupture governs the direction of slip on the fault plane, and the beach ball also depicts this stress orientation. In this schematic, the gray quadrants contain the tension axis (T), which reflects the minimum compressive stress direction, and the white quadrants contain the pressure axis (P), which reflects the maximum compressive stress direction. The computed focal mechanisms show only the P and T axes and do not use shading.





This is leading up to the current quakes.

Franklin Fault in Vallejo

two 3.5 mags one today one yesterday

Local news has a story on now

Said this could be the first significant activity on this fault in 11,000 years

Right by the Carcinas Bridge

You can see the fault, they showed it, goes along the shoreline next to the bridge, the two quakes were right under the bluff. The fault line runs directly with the Carcinas Strait

Because of the sediments it was felt over a wide area. I didn't feel it.

It could pair up with adjacent faults (Hayward-Rogers and Concord Green Valley faults) and let loose a big one.

According to the USGS lady they interviewed she said she expects seismologists to begin digging trenches alongside Franklin to study it's history.

John Fowler had the story and as he signed off he said, be prepared for more quakes along this area.

Folks who can't handle non-linear; non-traditional, non-stereo-typic-pseudo-"scientific" sources of information need to wake up; get better informed and maybe get a life.

I hope you keep posting your impressions. They may save someone's life.

Ahhh thanks, that is the nicest thing anyone has said to me in awhile. I kinda feel like I am losing it just a little here. I have never experienced anything like this. The pressure in my head is not painful. It just feels like I have a weight on my head. It also gets a cold feeling at times. Strange to me.

I am not usually obsessive over things. I just can't seem to let this one go. We shall see. I give it a few weeks and if nothing happens, (hopefully nothing does) I am gonna go get my noggin scanned.

Wow,Bo Xian,I'm impressed.
And thank you for your input,it is both very much needed and helpful with the "human" side of what is the prediction of earthquakes.
Taking a step back and re-evaluating previously conceived ideas on how things work ,what is taught and what is learned in the real world.
Much to be learned.

No sweat. You're very welcome and very worth it.

Perhaps the following suggestions off the top of my head can be of value to you or trigger ideas of your own.

1. Do be sure you have the fitting medical checks for your symptoms.

2. If a major symptom changes in a significant way--seriously consider getting it checked again.

3. OUR THINKING DOES INFLUENCE OUR PHYSIOLOGY--A LOT.

4. STRESS--imagined and/or real DOES influence our physiology A LOT.

5. Breathing in 6-8 seconds and out 6-8 seconds changes our brain chemistry toward relaxation--doing so for 30-90 seconds can calm one down significantly.

6. Getting wound up over stuff we cannot change is not very practical or functional. We need to learn to do different things with the information we are pondering than to get dysfunctional about it.

7. Take an inventory of the things you can use as relaxation faciliators. Use those things. e.g.

A) calming music
B) above breathing slowly
C) taking a walk around the block or through the woods or a park.

D) doing a craft, hobby, gardening, cleaning or art project
E) getting a massage
F) giving a massage

G) Visiting a greenhouse
H) Visiting an aquarium
I) petting pets

J) training pets
K) tens muscle groups feet to head or head to feet and relax very very very slowly paying attention to the sensations of relaxation.
L) Discipline yourself about thinking negative stuff to only 5-15 min per hour or a half hour out of every 4 or a half hour every 6 hours or some such.

M) Force yourself to think on uplifiting positive things AT LEAST an amount of time equal to what your negative thinking consumes. It takes practice but is very doable. This is also a major way to overcome depression.
N) Avoid being around negative people.
O) Avoid allowing negative people to 'speak into your life' or just rag on, whine on within earshot. Escort them to the door; get headphones and tune them out with pleasant music; get new friends;

P) Prep for the quake stuff as best you can. Trust God or your "higher power" for those things you cannot do.
Q) YOU CANNOT SAVE THE WORLD. IT's not your job. That was taken care of 2,000 years ago. HIS taking overt possession of the planet occurs after Armageddon. LOL.
R) Not being able to save the world is just reality. Letting that fact leave you dysfunctional STILL DOES NOT HELP ANYONE ELSE.

S) You MUST take care of yourself first, in order to be of any use to those you love.
T) Make a journal of at least one sentence per night--of good things about yourself; about your day; about your relationships; whatever you can be thankful that's the least bit praise worthy. You have air, water, food, clothes, shelter, transportation, relationships . . .
U) If needed, make a different journal of things you'd like to work on improving over the next 1-3 weeks. DON'T LIST EVERYTHING. LIst the priorities that you can make reasonable progress on.

V) Make BITE-SIZED STEPS OF PROGRESS toward those things--5-15 min is sufficient per day or per half day or every 3 hours--whatever works for you.

W) Calm yourself for 10-20 minutes per day--at the end of the day--whether listening to gentle music; white noise; wave sounds; bubbling brook sounds; whatever that's truly calming. . . think on peaceful mountain, beach, forest etc. scenes. remember sweet times with sweet people; affirm yourself in your mind;

X) Insure you get 7-8 hours of sleep per night. IF you are tossing and turning--get up and read a boring book until you feel sleepy. Or lie there and design a house floor plan; a gradening landscaping project; landscaping an aquarium; creating a piece of furniture; painting a picture--anything that's complicated enough to occupy your mind without getting your adrenaline going. Worrying about not sleeping will keep you awake. Most insomniacs sleep more than they think they do.

Y) Exercise, play a musical instrument; massage a loved one's hands or neck and shoulders; do a chore for a loved one; suprise a loved one with a hand written note or act of kindness.

Z) Look in the mirror and tell yoursel 3 times, 3 times a day that you're PRETTY GOOD ALRIGHT!

In terms of your symptoms and quakes etc.

1. You might try this--enter the symptom and time and date in a journal.

1.1 INCLUDE A RATING OF 1-10 IN TERMS OF SYMPTOM INTENSITY. 10 = most intense.

2. Include notes about what mental pictures and other thoughts and feelings are going with the physiological symptoms.

3. Include a prayer or mediation or wish that you'd like to apply to the situation and the symptoms.

4. Picture taking the symptoms and laying them aside as no longer needed, now that you've noted them and recorded them.

5. Do #4 as often as you need to--INSTEAD OF fretting, worrying about it. Just keep laying it aside; asking God to take care of it. etc.

6. Ask God or the universe or your higher power what is fitting for you to do about the symptoms and any possible message they may be trying to convey. Listen for a few minutes and write down your impressions. keep a small notebook or journal with you to write down impressions that may come to you anywhere any time about such things.

7. Pray peace, wholeness, protection, health, resilience, serenity over you and your family.

8. ACT AS THOUGH you would act, had you done everything possible and that God was going to take care of your concerns. What is out of your control IS OUT OF YOUR CONTROL anyway.

9. If you feel the urge, by all means, pray that the quake will be minimized; that people will be alerted ahead of time or will 'hear' their own spiritual messages to vacate the area in time; that death and injuries will be prevented or minimized etc.

10. BTW, I've had sinus headaches, sinus infections most of my 65 years until the last 2 years or so. I started taking daily doses of Tumeric spice (curry's origins) and Vitamin D3 as well as using the NeilMed sinus rinse kit from Wallgreen's. I don't remember when I last had a full blown cold or bronchial infection.

When I feel that tickle in my nose that indicates an infection may be beginning, I use the NeilMed sinus rinse packet immeidately--maybe with 1.5 packets instead of the usual 1. I may use it 4-5 times a day--any time I feel that tickle returning--even if I feel it in the middle fo the night when I get up to drain my bladder. That has worked wonders.

You NEED TO USE DISTILED OR REVERSE OSMOSIS WATER--OTHER WATER CAN BE VERY DANGEROUS--SERIOUS BRAIN PARASITES HAVE ORIGINATED FROM EVEN CHLORINATED WATER.

I was using it with water straight from our reverse osmosis filter as cold as it usually is at the normal room temperature. I've taken to sitting the filled bottle in a glass of very hot water while I get ready for my shower. It ends up being a bit warm and I think that is good to nuke nasal cold type viruses as well.

imho,

We ALL "see through the glass darkly, dimly, fuzzily" as The Book says.

None of us is allowed to 100% see and understand the whole picture about much of anything.

imho, that REQUIRES us to need each other and to learn to relate to one another in colalborative, redemptive, loving ways for maximum personal, family and social benefit.

NOT doing so is not only arrogant, selfish and stupid--it's, at some level, suicidal.

Given my Christian value system, there's a lot of New Age stuff that I consider occultic if not outright demonic.

However, I'm not eager to label strange stuff or even obviously New Age stuff as evil 100% of the time, immediately, whatever. I don't have all the facts. And, my God is big enough to use all kinds of things--to use all chanels to warn folks because He loves even His enemies more than they can comprehend.

Ilfe is far toooooo complex to fit in any one person's tidy little box.

Extending grace is sensible, practical, loving, redemptive and constructive, imho.

In terms of this quake stuff . . . how can any of us know what kind of gifting other people inherently operate in. How can we know whether someone's sensings are off the wall, psychotic, delusional

or

merely DIFFERENT and tuning into nuances, details, others miss . . .

or tuning in to frequencies, spiritual dimensions or whatever that others are not sensitive to.

Why not take all the inputs and hold them loosely and see what we can collectively learn to all our benefit.

I think that's a LOT more functional than trying to slice and dice everyone and their input into tidy little boxes just so the Obsessive Compulsive insecurity plagued among us can feel more IN !!! CONTROL !!!

That's actually good advice. The week prior to the Japan quake, I became almost obsessed with watching GEE, USGS and ATS. My physical symptoms were very strong and I finally had to just turn it all off. I actually called my sister earlier that day and told her that something really bad was going to happen and a lot of people were going to die. That I knew it would be a large quake...just not sure where. I managed to keep things off until 15 minutes before it hit. I had just posted and opened up GEE when it rolled through.

I have been learning since then. First; it is easy to always assume that's what it is. It is easy to become obsessed with it. Just be aware. Take care of yourself. When it gets to be overwhelming, turn of the computer. There isn't anything you can do except be prepared and aware.

Excellent points hard learned!

If we don't take care of ourselves, we won't be able to take care of anyone else.

The instruction to put the oxygen mask on the parent before the child in a plane is a serious one in the child's behalf.
