Hey, compassion comes in all shapes and sizes that is for sure. However, compassion isn't about pointing out someones mistakes. Also, suggesting that someone get help, if necessary, should be approached cautiously and with a gentle nudge in the right direction vs. a blanket statement of "GET HELP!" Last, on a subject such as this, if and when one party wants to suggest help, he or she should never make the individual in question the focus of the subject i.e.: "You need to get help". It could be more like: "Plenty of people struggle with these types of things and they have successfully overcome their addictions by seeking some professional guidance..."

By phrasing it that way the individual feels that he or she is not alone and he or she is not being personally attacked.

Or something to that effect.

On another note, I hear what you're saying loud and clear and I agree with you. Where does it end? Everyone has a different way looking at things.

You don't need to explain... unless you feel that you want too. You don't need to apologize either. A little heated debating never hurt anyone

And, would you prefer that the OP never mention it, never reach out, never acknowledge the fact, if it is indeed a fact, and just keep it well hidden until it manifests in a different, perhaps more dangerous way?

??? The op did not reach out for help..he was fishing for more material..if he /she really wanted help they would have approached the wording on a totally different way...or better yet gone to a professional or a website that would help.

What happened on this op was someone looking for more violent material, and others who "enjoyed" it. I was appalled by this and said so in a post.

What I find even stranger is that I was the one in violation for speaking out against it..and the Op gets away with advertising for violence on this site.. WOW

So I guess the mods today think its ok for a member to be asking for violent clips to share, but its not ok for a member to show absolute disgust at this?

Okay... I hear you. But I think individuals interpret things in different ways, don't you? In my experience, one who has a real issue or problem will usually tend to approach it with a joke. So you see it as fishing for material, and that may indeed be the case. However, my first instinct told me this was a real problem and the OP was generalizing. Two different views, both okay.

Here is a thought for the op as well. Considering these are horrible images of people in accidents and such (not sure where all these come from) , how would the op feel if he knew many people were enjoying the gruesome pics of his dearly beloved family members that were in a terrible accident.

Would that be ok to the OP?

I'm just wondering how these images can even be legal? Does not the family of these victims have some right over who gets to look at pics of their dismembered family members?

Now..I am simply curious as to why you can't see how dark and unhealthy this really is?.... Is this for personal reasons?

Quite honestly anyone who can accuse me as having issues because I am extremely offended by someone saying they enjoy watching film of people being beheaded in a accidents, and was wondering if anyone else out there is into it,and if they would like to share their videos ...has serious issues themselves..

I can see how dark and unhealthy this is. However, until now that question was not presented directly to me nor is the thread or subject matter about me. Let' us not assume that I do not feel exactly the same way as you my friend. I use emotion for the many and reserve reason for the few.

There are people who film others getting beaten up so they can post it for violence lovers. That is not religion or politics..that is just greed and demented desires.

People are so judgemental nowadays just because somebody has formed a habit of doing something on the internet that you happen to not agree with.. that doesn't entitle you to speculative labeling of that person. Funny how you have been dodging the real issue by referring OUT of CONTEXT.. again... why ..child rape was even brought into this.

And yes..I am judgmental of souls who GET OFF on violence..who are "addicted" to watching it..and ask for more stuff to view... I think its shows dangerous tendencies to weird adrenalin rushes.

There is NO KNOWLEDGE to be gained from watching this crap !!! (unless you seriously want to help people like this from a medical point of understanding..and even then you wouldn't log into it 3 to 4 times a day)

...and you admitted you liked it in your op..so don't try and play that card...and don't try and twist this around so that others really have the issues...and you don't.

I'm serious..if you're getting addicted to watching people getting beat up severely "for sport"..and getting off on seeing pics of serious accidents..I suggest you go talk to a professional about it.

My advice to you is to seek medical advise, maybe get medication to calm your mind.

Find something to do that provides peace and tranquility and do it alot.

Have to admit that sometimes a streetfight 1on 1 is interesting to watch, just to see if the guy has a potential to be a good competitive fighter, or when a bully gets ass kicked its kind of epic feeling

Sometimes violence is the only way and theres nothing bad to watch and have feelings about it.
But to see an innocent hostage beheaded and not feel bad about it, well, something is not right or you are missing something.. Thats my opinion.
