Jon Tumilson, a Navy SEAL, was one of 30 Americans killed in Afghanistan on Aug. 6 when a rocket-propelled grenade took out a U.S. Chinook helicopter. He was mourned at a service in Rockford, Iowa, attended by 1,500 family members, friends--and Hawkeye, Tumilson's dog.

Too bad people cant be as loyal to each other as this dog is to his late friend

Rest in Peace Sailor

Well now, that got an emotional reaction from me. Definitely raises a lot of questions as to how intelligent/metaphysical our animal companions are.

One thing I have to say - I noticed the video is looped.

Wanted to let you know I inadvertently posted this as well, about two minutes after you, but with just the still image embedded. I did a search first, but the thread took me a couple of minutes because I am technically challenged!

Great minds think alike?

The First & The Last
The first to sense the hostility of a suspect,
The first to react to protect his master.
The first to enter where danger lurks.
The first to detect the hidden intruder.
The first to take action against violence.
The first to sense his master's joy.
The first to know his master's sorrow or fear.
The first to give his life in defense of his master.
The last to be forgotten by those who work with
others like him. They know him as a "Partner,"
not just an animal.
