Well, it's obvious that Rabbi Levin is a democrat because if he was a Republican he would have blamed the earthquake on Obama!

Same can be said for Democrats blaming Bush.

I was just reading this thread as the comments came in and began to think, with all the people through history that exclaim what God is thinking and doing with specific reasoning you would think that there would be more people reporting that God talked to them personally, but I just don't see that happening. So if God isn't coming down in a shower of gold or talking from a burning bush then I would say to those who "Speak for God" you might take a step back and look at yourselves for just a moment. Most people do not like others "Speaking for them" without permission, don't you think that loving God just might revert to his old ways? And to those who are actually listening to the ones "Speaking for God" Number one, don't you think that God can "Speak" for himself? and second, If someone is spreading blame generally it is themselves that have something to hide.

Holy Crap!
This takes the cake as the ultimate conspiracy theory.

Isn't there a Hall of Fame somewhere for this kind of stuff?
If not ATS needs one because this is pure gold and needs a shelf of its own!

I shaved my legs yesterday (yes, I am male).

Bring on the humidity, it's kinda grey where I am at present.

I think Rabi Levin epitomizes the radical fundamentalist religious. Always look for a scapegoat, ignore science and rationality, and pander to your unthinking, unquestioning flock.

This works in politics as well. Take no responsibility, place blame on others and use these.....

" Who are you who is so wise in the ways of science ? "

Answer: Rabbi Yehuda Levin

----

Its funny and equally terrifying that such thoughts still occupy the minds of men.

“The Talmud states, 'You have shaken your male member in a place where it doesn't belong. I too, will shake the Earth,'” Levin says.

If God is creating earthquakes because of homosexual behaviour, then WHAT irked him off to the point that he created the continental drift?

(My guess? It involved Andy Dick, Lady Gaga, and bungee cords!

I'm just glad something happened that the Tea Party didn't get blamed for.
(or did I speak too soon?)

Do a little research into your own theology and you'll see that homosexuality didn't really have anything to do with Sodom and Gomorrah

What really made god angry was all the shellfish that is eaten on the east coast. All that clam chowder served in New England restaurants is like spitting in the eye of God as the consumption of shellfish is forbidden!

I advise you to think twice before stopping at the seafood section or perusing the seafood part of the menu. You might be tempting God's wrath!!!!

And not only that....

In Exodus 35:2 it clearly states that a man that works on the sabbath should be put to death. My next door neighbor works on the Sabbath all the time. Should I kill him myself or ask the cops to do it?

and

in Exodus 21:7 it is allowable to sell my daughter into slavery. In todays market what would be a fair price for a 13 year old girl?

and

in Leviticus 25:44 it states I may possess slaves if I bought them from neighboring countries. My friend says this only applies to Mexicans. Why can't I own a couple of Canadians?

Hadn't you heard? After the earthquake, they named the fault line that runs under DC. It's Obama's Fault.

Oh well then WHO the HELL are we to blame for the NATURAL DISASTERS before MAN got here then?????????????? EXPLAIN THAT ONE.

OMG, the dinosaurs were gay!!! That's why they died out! They caught the gayness from each other so God had to kill em all!

Seriously though, I remember when people were saying that God sent hurricane Katrina because of all the gambling going on in the casinos. Now he's sending earthquakes because of gay people. If that were the case, wouldn't California have dropped off into the ocean by now? *eye roll* Vegas seems to be holding out pretty well too.

Religious nuts who think they know what God is thinking absolutely drive me insane.

I'm a straight girl who loves to go to gay bars to see the drag queens. I guess there's a meteorite with my name on it somewhere up there...

These dillholes have gotten me to the point where, once I realize that the natural disaster du jour didn't kill anyone and essentially caused many inconveniences, like Pavlov's dog, I giggle in anticipation of the comedic material our earthly denizens with direct connections to the Allmighty will peddle to their sheep.

It's the equivalent of a bunch of third graders, with no understanding of geology or meteorology, instinctively blaming the fat kid for the storm.
