DAE: Hate when obvious troll topics make the homepage?

I certainly do. Or maybe I shouldn't say troll but certainly ignorant topics.

Bugs me every time. Oh also bugs me when ignorant posts get lots of stars. I guess I shouldn't expect everyone to agree with my logic...and I don't. But some things just seem unforgivable to me.

Anyone else feel this way?

Oh and back on topic; I can't stand when troll and ignorant threads make the front page as well.

You mean ones like,
"All Republicans are ignorant racists"
or
"All Democrats are arrogant and pretentious."

Obviously I made those titles up.
But yes, I have seen this recently and it makes me sad.

We do not need to keep this separation of right/left, you/me, us/them, absolute right/absolute wrong.
This is the kind of thinking that will not help us achieve anything.
It is out dated and irrelevant and the quicker people realize we are ALL IN THIS TOGETHER... the better.

I agree. I think ATS should implement a new 5 or 10 flag and star limit per week or month to make people be more hesitant to S&F some bull# just because it's kind of funny.

Ad revenue? You don't even own ATS to get the money...

And honestly the recent page is difficult to go to and still doesn't guarantee any quality. I prefer just to browse my preferred forum and read the new topics there.

Sounds like someone is jealous that they can't make posts that make the front page. I've had threads i've put hours of work into that fall into obliviion and simply won't get any attention while others make the front page just because it has the word Ron Paul in it.

I've had a total of three of my threads make the homepage...

I know because I got excited when I noticed. No I'm not jealous at all.

Kro why can't we just get along here? lawl Accusing me of being jealous isn't going to help anyone.

Posts that make the front page do so because people find it interesting therefore it isn't a troll thread. If it was people would read it and move along. This is a discussion board and any thread that inspires discussion is a very good thread whether you agree with it or not.

I guess it because membership has gone up and this has more or less turned into a political site

I guess when the site first started off it was more ufo topics weird conspiracies and things of the paranormal fringe which I would prefer to this political and religious bickering I mean I can get that on any number of sites.
ATS is getting rather tedious and predictable these days.

Maybe ATS should change from Above Top Secret to Annoying Tabloid Sensationalism

I normally love topics in the Rant section but this one was pretty piss poor

I proper Rant should have at least some irrational/idiotic content but this is concise and even semi intelligent

Shame on you for bringing the rant forum into disrepute

I have made some threads on ATS that have taken me over a week of research and investigations that have got like 4 flags and a few stars on ATS ,were I've posted the same thread of my research on others sites that have got accolades and still being discussed 3 mths later.

If your after flags and stars here ,then you need to ridicule someone ,or talk about the end of the world doom and gloom ,ATS users seem to suck this stuff up.

It's the reason i don't start any threads on this site anymore.
