Erm, I don't know what school you went to, but I learned how to spell in public schools. I'm not even a liberal, by the way, but just trying to point out that your argument is invalid.

Gosh darn "liberal-run" school system! Teaching me how to spell and do various math equations and making me learn computer skills! Makes me rage so hard!

Almost four years later, and your still talking about Bush? How sad and pathetic is your life?

Ah..history means nothing to you? On a side note, I wish Christians had your attitude and could live in the now.

Unfortunately when a president like W makes his mark it sort of has that lingering effect on you.

But you must be in the rich 2% where such effects don't affect.

A person who I know is considered very poor due to a disability he has and is unable to work. His wife works yet she is barely making enough to support them. Their son is very bright, 3.94 grade point average in high school. Recently, he was unable to get a scholarship for college so he is looking for financial aide wherever he can get it to pay for school. He is driven to make a better life for his parents and I respect his desire.

He approached the NAACP because he saw an advertisement for the United Negro College Fund. He was told with a very stern and direct response, "you will never get anything from the NAACP because you are white." Now, what is racist? Here is a kid, just trying to find any way possible to fund his college education and he is being shutdown, because he is "white". What is racist?

Black's have a million man march on Washington D.C. and it's called a gathering, yet the KKK does the same thing and it's call racist.

Racism is kept alive by black people. White people are over it, they don't care anymore. We live in a diverse world, where whites and blacks live on the same street and with each other.

Want racism to go away? STOP promoting it!!! STOP trying to get something for nothing through it!!! Just let it die so we can just get on with our lives.

Jesse Jackson "Can't We All Just Get Along" YES WE CAN IF PEOPLE WILL STOP YELLING RACISM FOR EVERYTHING THEY DON'T LIKE!!

If you don't like it, change it or deal with it, but don't stand behind a word to get results even though it works most of the time.

I did go to public school before the liberals destoyed it with their social engineering. Our school district was one of the better ones too.
But face it, the Democrats do control the teachers unions and the NEA today and they have pushed everything from values clarification to condoms on cucumbers (that worked out really well huh) to why Suzie has two moms. You cannot deny it. They taught computer skills in the 70s too, it was just BASIC programming. But then that's junior high. If they didn't get spelling and grammar before then...
To be fair though, the Dewey Look-See system replaced phonics a long time ago. Antony Sutton wrote about it in his book on Skull and Bones.

We can deduce The Order's objectives for education from evidence already presented and by examining the work and influence of John Dewey, the arch creator of modern educational theory. How do we do this? We first need to examine Dewey's relationship with The Order. Then compare Dewey's philosophy with Hegel and with the philosophy and objectives of modern educational practice.

John Dewey worked for his doctorate at Johns Hopkins University from 1882-86 under Hegelian philosopher George Sylvester Morris. Morris in turn had his doctorate from University of Berlin and studied under the same teachers as Daniel Gilman, i.e., Adolph Trendelenberg and Hermann Ulrici.

Looking back at John Dewey after 80 years of his influence, he can be recognized as the pre-eminent factor in the collectivisation, or Hegelianization, of American Schools. Dewey was consistently a philosopher of social change. That's why his impact has been so deep and pervasive. And it is in the work and implementation of the ideas of John Dewey that we can find the objective of The Order.
What we learn from this is that Dewey's education is not child centered but State centered, because for the Hegelian, "social ends" are always State ends.

This is where the gulf of misunderstanding between modern parents and the educational system begins. Parents believe a child goes to school to learn skills to use in the adult world, but Dewey states specifically that education is "not a preparation for future living." The Dewey educational system does not accept the role of developing a child's talents but, contrarily, only to prepare the child to function as a unit in an organic whole - in blunt terms a cog in the wheel of an organic society. Whereas most Americans have moral values rooted in the individual, the values of the school system are rooted in the Hegelian concept of the State as the absolute. No wonder there is misunderstanding!

Stripped of the pedantic language it is new world order, a world organic society. But there is no provision for a global organic order within the Constitution. In fact, it is illegal for any government officer or elected official to move the United States towards such an order as it would clearly be inconsistent with the Constitution. To be sure, Dewey was not a government official, but Vasconcellos has taken an oath of allegiance to the Constitution.

The National Education Association, the lobby for education, produced a program for the 1976 Bicentennial entitled "A Declaration Of Interdependence: Education For A Global Community."

i don't think you understand what a caricature is. very small cranium, huge ears, exaggerated mouth, large nose. i've noticed people who call out "racism" are generally racist themselves and have no well-reasoned arguments to make.

i'm very tired of the racist card.

Yep, politics as usual with the left. Forgetting about the protection of the young men and women oversees, and catering to their own political agenda. Pretty simple concept, send the troops aid or not. As for the left, NOT. Why add earmarks into a bill? Oh wait, the left is perfect at that, after all, have to pay off the people that got us into office.
Simple fact: Obama voted against body armor for the troops. May have voted for guns to put in their hands prior, but that should be without saying. I take that back, with his lack of education in the real world, this shouldn’t go without saying. Or with no military background, business back ground, or management background, I’m surprised he can administer his own pants on every morning.

Yeah yeah the racism card thing is BS and these are just caricatures, we know...but the NAACP can give scholarships to whomever they please. Just like if I, a male, wanted to apply for a scholarship that is only given to women, I wouldn't get it. It's kind of ludicrous that this "kid" went to the NAACP to apply for a scholarship, your story actually sounds made-up just to prove your point.

Meanwhile, a real issue, I just moved to California and they recently passed a bill that allows privately-funded financial-aid to illegal immigrants. I applied for a lot of financial-aid to get a second degree, I didn't qualify

Privately funded, they should be able to do whatever they want with their scholarship money, but I still think it shouldn't be going to illegals.

It really just depends on the school system you go to...
There isn't some national mandate that says all schools must teach about gay-marriage and all schools must only teach a liberal-leaning history class.

On another note, sex-ed is good, that's just my opinion I know a lot of people out there are against it. I think it's good to know how your sex-organs work, or what nocturnal-emissions are, or things about menstruation, and yes even about birth-control methods. Demonstrating condoms is pretty creepy though. Come to think of it, I don't think they talked about birth-control during our sex and puberty week in health class. You would think that the thought of having a baby at such a young age would be enough to deter people from having sex without at least 2 forms of birth control, but you know, kids.

But really, why do people get so worked up about what is taught in history class? I mean, kids don't even pay attention anyway! (That was a joke, I personally liked history class...hated math so much).

It's a sad day when you even have to ask a question regarding free speech. There probably is a law now somewhere....if not, I can promise there will be one soon.

Looks like you failed to get the essence of the We the Congress point. We have a representative Republic. That does not mean Congress gets to shove mandated health insurance down our throats because a group of Socialists want it.

I guess kinda like how we stood up to the bank bailout....oh wait. Last time I checked, none of us get to cast our vote on legislation.

I'm quite aware that we elect representatives, but that doesn't mean they must do what we want.

We are allowed to elect officials who then decide what's best for us. How lucky are we?!

Sure, we can choose to not re-elect them, but they will simply be replaced by more Masters.

Why do you think Plato despised Athens and democracy? The Elite will always rule--get used to it.

True, I mean even Bush Jr. had giant "monkey" ears so that's how cartoonists draw him too. Not sure if anyone's brought that point up yet.

Yeah, I just replied yesterday to a thread on here where this girl (with spikes on her neck in her avatar) insinuated that women are smarter than men because more women graduated college more than men. I informed her (as if she didn't already know
) of the FEMINISTS and government support for woMen thUs, enabling them to go to college. A Service that is noT offered to your average white male. Her statistics were nothing more than feminists behind a typewriter lying to the public to continue with a plan of oppressing men (financially and vocationally), because they are pissed off that women from the past, whom they didn't even know claimed that THEY were oppressed and women today are trying to get revenge....not for the dead women from the past, but using them and their cause as a battering ram to get remunerated for their deeds. It's pathetic, But that is women today for you. I on the other hand see it different. I graduated college and have a power Engineering degree as well as an i.t. degree and my ex-wife (one of the aforementioned...from Texas, no doubt) went to college and couldn't even finish......guess who paid off her School loans because she couldn't afford iT? .........guess whO she married....just so he could be used to Pay off those loans? So yeah, even though they get handed everything, they still have time to sexually maniPulate mEn anD take them to court, steal their children, and are usually rewarded everything else that MEN own, as well. Wonder why? Who wins everything in court, if there's a divorce, class? Very good ! WOMEN! 99% of all men lose in court in a divorce, makes ya think, don't it? How are those statistics for you...based on personal experience and hardcore proof that you can find anywhere on any given day. Guess who had to go to college on his own dime and had NO HELP from a feminist organization, (an organization that is no less evil than, and has the same intentions as, a separatist organization such as the skinheads/KKK organizations) That's right ME! Women aren't so smart, they just have a lot of protection by feminist organizations and the government and we men have nothing, so they can brag all they want, but the truth is....without government....without their countless feminist organizations (which demonize men with lies and made up rape polls)....they would be nothing but users of men and be right back where they started .....leeching off of the success of a man.

Oh my gosh, look at all these horribly racist caricatures of George W.
www.aboutfacesentertainers.com...

The huge ears, the overly squinty eyes, the elongated upper lip, the overly exaggerated look of stupidity.....well...

Gosh, I'm offended as a white person because someone made George Bush look like an exaggerated version of himself. Why did we not call this like it was when he was in office?

I tell ya, if I go to a carnival and have one of those caricature people draw me, I'l be damned if they draw that bump in my nose one millimeter larger in proportion to the rest of my features. You bet I'll cry racist!

"Hey caricature drawer, what's with the nose? Do you have a problem with Italians?! Cuz I think that's what side of the family that bump came from! Oh what's that you say? You mean exaggerating features is what a caricature artist is supposed to do? Well, I'll just have to look that up!"

car·i·ca·tureNoun/ˈkarikəCHər/
1. A picture, description, or imitation of a person or thing in which certain characteristics are exaggerated to create a comic or grotesque effect.
2. The art or style of such exaggerated representation.

But anyway, back on topic, the signs are just caricatures, which by their very nature exaggerate features.
