Honestly those are disgusting. The caricature is racist itself and most of what is written (and misspelled) is untrue. This is not free speech as much as it is libel and defamation.

More disgusting than his policy of perpetuating the murdering the citizens of sovereign nations in the Middle East?

.....If you want to be outraged over the feds threatening Washington State to remove the signs and Washington State in turn seceding from the union - well, buddy, you need to learn to discern a troll post and rumor-mongering when you see it, otherwise you'll be in a perpetual rage over false headlines....

That is exactly what I meant.

The chance that this was disinfo were fairly great, however with the cops going after kids Lemonade stands and yard sales I am no longer automatically saying "That can not happen" this is the USA any more because I find it IS happening.

This was my point exactly. Who cares about the cartoon. The spelling shows what the level of intelligence of these people are.

Now you know why we have gridlock, dealing with people that 'graduate' from the 3rd grade and feel they know how to run a country.

So you are supposing the intelligence level of the artist based on spelling and grammar? And alluding that it is cases like this one that we have Gridlock..Dude sorry but that makes no sense.Talk about reading a book without the book..Hope you don't base all your conclusion on instances like this.

The Blair-Rockefeller poll (a Democratic Think Tank) showed Tea Party members are more politically sophisticated and better educated than other categories...

I blame the bad spelling on progressive education not on the victims of the education

There's a serious problem with the source article(s).

1. No source is provided that claims the federal government or Washington State have said this.

2. The "Dailypaul" link provided in the OP links to another forum (forum.punjabijunktion.co.in), which has only posted the pictures without any comments claiming the Feds have threatened to deny funding nor any comments about Washington threatening to secede.

Thus I can only conclude that other than some funny pics of someone's artwork to be found along a Washington roadway, there is no truth to the claim that Washington threatened to secede nor any truth to the claim that Obama or the feds threatened to withdraw funding to Washington.

So where does this "threatening to secede" notion come from? I'm guessing from the poster over at Dailypaul who is letting his imagination run amok.

Seceding or not, there's also a serious reality to those pictures that isn't relevant to any source that may or may not have been provided. Any guess as to what it is?

Oh, yeah. They're telling the truth. As much as it hurts, we have to accept it. I'm sorry if that bothers you, but there's no defense strategy that can override the truth. You can dig as deep as you want into the political paperwork, but nothing can change the fact that we've been manipulated and lied too. Over and over again.

I agree that there was a bit of false premise placed in this thread, but putting that aside, the main objective of these pictures should not be overlooked. Let's not forget that the messages that these pictures delivered was obviously the OP's original intent.

Cheers,
Strype

Haha! You're funny. Just because he's black and we're laughing at him doesn't make it racist you fool. I'm so sick of people like you turning everything in to a race thing. Get over it.

OP... those pics are excellent. It's good to see people voicing their opinions for a change. Nice find

Why is the caricature racist? You will have to explain how the exaggerated features on that billboard are particular to one race or another? The skin is not particularly dark or light, the typical facial characteristics of either race or not exaggerated, the stuff that is exaggerated on the billboard are the ears and chin, and he kind of has the Riddler smile. None of those things are particular to the black or white race, but they are representative of Obama.

Once again, anything anti-Obama must be racist?

Personally, I do not agree with ridiculing a sitting president, and as much as I agree with the billboards, I also think they are disgusting. We can exercise our rights to campaign for a different president, and vote, and petition our representatives to change laws, but it is a waste of time to sling mud at a sitting president.

So, as a Tea Partier, that voted for Obama, that entirely disagrees with your "racist" comments, I still agree that the billboards are in poor taste.

But, worse than the billboard is the racism argument. It really, really, really irritates me to hear the "racist" cries. Worse yet, I always hear it from the white folks? None of my black friends are crying racism, only the Democrat White folks are crying racism. Such a sad reflection of the intelligence and education in America. One side cannot find any logic or reason to argue, so they just raise the flag of racism and scream it to drown out any intelligent discourse.

As an ATS Staff Member, I will not moderate in threads such as this where I have participated as a member.

Wish I could take away some of your stars.

Keep your racism to youself.

This is classic political caricature and can be found in any political cartoon. I've seen Obama depicted as such hundreds of times in those. Of course, you and Maxine Waters probably feel that's racist and the fault of the Tea Party as well.

The caricature is racist itself......

Please explain how the cartoon caricature of Obama is racist.
Are you seeing subliminal messages in the lines?
Is it the wrong skin tone? Looks okay to me. He's dark skinned, no?
His nose is wide, but generally, features are exaggerated when one
draws a cartoon caricature of a person of any race. The ears are big.
But so are his. What are you talking about, exactly!
