Most Dangerous U.S. Nuclear Plants-Shut them down

I have to admit after the Fukushima incident I was empathetic. I felt so bad for the the people, still do, but I felt bad for the engineers of the power plant.
Now I'm mad. The rage drove me nuts last week, it all really sank in and I watched countless videos like an addict hearing from nuclear scientists and specialists. What they speak of is thousands of years worth of devastation to a very large portion of the world. FROM ONE REACTOR...

Now the greed for money has taken a turn. It may wipe us all off the planet in just a few years. People already are showing signs of stage one of radiation sickness in Japan. What is being done over there? Nothing. We are going to see videos for years to come watching these people bleed to death from radiation poisoning.

I mean we have nuclear power plants in all the wrong places. Let's put one (I'm sorry multiple) stations on a very, very highly active fault line. What genius thought of that?

What's worse is that most of these Nuclear Power facilities around the world lay on the worst possible places, and are in the backyards of millions of people.

If we get another one or two to go, you can kiss humanity goodbye.

We live in a time where we can gather energy from almost anywhere, alternative means are on the way but this is an emergency. Apparently fault lines have simply become active, volcanos and lava channels are flowing around the planet, so now may be a good to time save the entire planet, screw global warming for a second. We could poison the entire planet.

power prices..... if you dont want power to be too expensive you need to replace the nuclear plants. we are already having enough trouble trying to keep coal plants open. this would cripple us


i still agree with the premise, its just frustrating when we get our coal plants shutdown because the pollution from china/japan can float over and be used as "evidence" that our plants are "hurting the atmosphere" and need to be shut down, creating all of this artificial scarcity

I would gladly do without power several hrs a day to have the nukes shut down. A pile of uranium allowed to get hot to boil water is too 1800ś tech no matter how many computers and automatic systems we add it is still just a boiler ,but one that uses the most toxic fuel we can really make for the purpose. Coal is dirty, that is reality. Nukes are leaky dangerous and beyond ¨dirty¨ if they go south. The economy is tanked already why not make the jump to cleaner sustainable energy? Better some pain now than more FUKashima´ed up hot zones.

coal isnt dirty when you put the money into it to make it clean, but with corporations the way they are is it any surprise that they dont want to, and dont get in trouble for it? you suffer for it, not them. they have the money, you dont

I know coal can be clean, but I think solar and turbine should be the way of the future. I just can't believe all of this is happening. I wonder how long it will be until mass waves of fish come washing up in the pacific.
