Earthquake felt in Virginia Bach, VA at 1:51pm

Never expected to feel one in Va Beach. My entire house was shaking. Lasted for about 10 seconds. My wife was working remotely and she was on the phone with NY. As soon as my wife said, we just had an earthquake here in VA Beach, NY said, its happening here too. And the phone hung up...

Anybody else feel it on the east coast?

I heard the evacuating washington DC because of this quake. Not much is being said other than that right now.

I"M in Riverhead long Island NY, I just felt one. Never ever felt one here before !

According to this, quakes.globalincidentmap.com... 5.8 . I felt it all the way here in Long Island, NY! Which freaked me out a little because we never experience this! I just got a news report from AP mobile saying a EQ hit VA and was felt in DC, NY, and NC.

felt it in West Chester Pa. I'm in a 20,000 sq ft building and the whole thing just shook back and forth for at least 6 seconds

I'm in VB too. i felt it for about 5 seconds. I was sitting on my couch holding my daughter and my couch started moving and I felt drunk all of a sudden.

That's exactly how I felt! I thought I was having an acid flashback or something, which is weird cause I don't do acid

Felt it here just minutes outside Charleston,WV. It was pretty intense. things were beginning to fall off of my mantle

Wow we felt this one all the way down in Atlanta Georgia. On the second story of our building felt an odd rolling sensation that lasted for about 3 - 5 minutes. All the cell phone lines are clogged I can't contact my folks in Va to see if they felt it!

I'm in Newport News, VA pretty close to VA Beach, first time I've ever been in a quake either.

I was laughing thinking there's no way this is an earthquake, but why is my house shaking.
