Central PA here, i didn't feel it personally, but people were talking about it everywhere. People in highrises said "it shook like hell." Among other things, I tried to call people around here who use ATT wireless, their phones weren't working for about half an hour after the quake. I'm really not sure what could have caused something like this...hopefully it ends here.

Guards. The white house usually has, on average, 2 snipers, and a third sniper on a nearby building.

Gotta love big brother.

sorry to hear this frightened you so. Here in Norcal, we would laugh at a measly 5.9. But for someone who has never felt these, I get it.

Repoting in from Jersey City, NJ... We felt it here too.. I work on the 22nd floor of my building, and it felt like the whole building was swaying back and forth.. We were asked to evacuate the building as a safety measure.

Just got back into the building (after stopping at Starbucks on the way back.. heheh).

My wife in Central NJ said that she didn't feel a thing..

I can confirm it was felt near Kenmore SQ in Boston. I swear, you could also hear it. This faint murmuring buzz. Felt much larger ones in Japan though.

Im a mile outside of DC, so I ran out of the building expecting to see a big mushroom cloud. So it was a relief to see it was just a quake.

Tell me why all 2000 people where I work at FT Belvoir in VA did the same thing!

This is really true...one mist and your 15 minute commute is suddenly an hour. It is insane.

And to make it worse, they forget during the summer. So Californians re-learn driving in the rain every year.

ARGHHH!
